New Years Eve in Fredericksburg Sunday House Inn.
We enjoyed a peaceful nights rest, very comfortable bed, a fantastic breakfast with and a hostess that was beyond helpful in the breakfast area. Even the cleaning lady was exceptional help to us. Over all a very good stay and very affordable rates.

When I come to Fredericksburg the Sunday House Inn is the only place that I stay at. I have been staying there for yrs.. the staff the rooms and the pools hot tub and the continental breakfast is the ABSOLUTE BEST! ☆☆☆☆☆

45th Wedding Anniversary in Fredricksburg, TX
First, the staff gave us a very warm, happy welcome. The hotel is in a great location on old town Main St in Fredericksburg TX. Walking distance from shops, restaurants, wine tasting and winery’s. Breakfasts were hot and fresh and good. The lady running the room did a great job. Saturday night, we sat by the fire pit, toasting our 45th anniversary. Also, walking in and around our hotel, I felt safe. And that is important to me. It seems it is a much older hotel. It needs a facelift and room remodels. Unfortunately, our room had problems. We had a king bed. It was very hard and uncomfortable. The chair is a little rickety. The bathroom had a little mold on the upper wall near the ceiling. I slipped down in the tub. Nothing to hold onto. Not as young as I used to be, but all hotel baths need safety bars in the tub area. The room could’ve been cleaned better. And lastly, no smoke alarm. This would be an excellent hotel if at least rooms like ours were completely remodeled.

Anniversary trip to Fredricksburg
Great trip, older hotel but was kept well. Check in was a breeze, we hit there before 1500 check in but our room wasn’t ready, so we left the car and walked uptown to see Fredricksburg’s charm. Two pools and a spa while it was mid December the water was sparkling clear and clean. Room was spacious and CLEAN. It’s an older place but I would recommend it and stay again. Staff was 10 Star plus. Breakfast was better than some named chains have visited, and the lady in duty waz amazing. They need keep her for her exuberance!

Good, not great.
This was our 2nd stay at the property. The room was clean, which is a top priority for me. The proximity to all of the offerings of Main street is the biggest appeal. Being within walking distance of all the shops is what will keep us returning to this property. However, there are some downsides. 1. Scratchy towels. Nothing about the towels could be defined as soft, they were rough on my face, hands and body. I would consider bringing my own towel from home. 2. Thin bedding. The blanket was just a thin "quilt" that provided very little warmth. I did find a seperate blanket on our 2nd night in the room that I assume is provided for the pull out couch. It was just a scratchy as the towels. I would also bring a seperate blanket from home if you prefer comfy, cozy bedding. 3. THIN WALLS. If your above neighbors dont keep you awake all night, the outside noise will. Luckily, playing sleep sounds on my phone all night helped me sleep through the second night. Overall, we did enjoy our stay herr, and will likely book here again.
