A nice surprise just outside of Vicenza
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel just outside of Vicenza in the Vicentina Alta zone. I've stayed at many other hotels in the area and was always a bit let-down. They had a beautiful spa, well-equipped gym, tasty restaurant and my Junior Suite was large and comfy with a spacious bathroom which is not common in Italy

The staff were really friendly at the hotel and resolved an incorrect room allocation with no issue. Rooms and food were nice and the hotel had a good vibe about it. The only thing I did not like about the hotel is the fact that I had to pay to use the pool on a weekend. It seemed to me there was no one checking other guests after I had paid. It made me feel that some had not paid and were using it for free. The rest of the stay was perfect.

This could have been a good hotel, but…
I looks like their policy is to trick people to book a room with a low price and nice pictures of of pool and other facilities - and then charge extra for everything. They have a «pool access fee» wich adds one third to the room price. They add a pool towel fee on top of that. They tell you breakfast is included at check in, and then charge you for it afterwards. Stay away.

Overall stay was alright. Reception and Service staff at restaurant and room were excellent. A lot of mould in the shower area, also how the shower cubicle is designed was very inconvenient and breakfast was basic, it could be better.

An interesting place. I would visit them again. The staff were outstanding and I really can’t say enough about how helpful they were. The location was perfect for the work I was doing. My only concern was that the restaurant was a bit too fancy. Some more general options would likely increase patronage.

The breakfast is not adequate for a 4-star hotel due to the limited selection. E.g. there are no breadrolls at all, and no hard- or soft-boiled eggs. What is available is good quality, though. Noise is a big problem some nights. I consider some noise from guest activity normal at every hotel, but this hotel is a party location. On two of the four nights we stayed there were parties going on at the pool with loud DJ music until midnight. It basically enters the room almost unhindered, sleeping is impossible. The staff was not interested in helping, they just acknowledged our complaint. On the plus side, the rooms are big, modern, and clean. The pool is nice with plenty of space available. Sufficient parking available.

Great experience!
We had a great experience at the Golf Vicenza Hotel. Staff is really friendly and helpful calling taxis for us and recommending restaurants. Breakfast is really good with a selection of food. Beds are really comfortable and the hotel has a great atmosphere. The downside is the fee to use sunbeds (€10), it should be included in the accommodation as we were guests. Another downside is the distance to the train station €15 each way. Apart from that, great experience. Indoor pool is amazing!

We had a wonderful stay in the Golf Hotel. The room was very very spacious and the beds are comfortable. The entire property is very beautiful and well kept. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic. I would recommend to the hotel that they posted more and better pictures as I was very reluctant to make my reservations based on the pictures. There were no great photos of the Breakfast Buffet and I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised and would return at any time. The EV charging option is also a plus which I don't remember reading about. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. THANK YOU!

Poor experience in restaurant
Poor service in the restaurant. Reception recommended us booking a table due to our company was 8 persons in total. Booked table via the hotel reception, but the message had not been received in the restaurant and the waiter did not make us feel welcome and provided poor service the rest of the evening. Rest of the waiters provided great service! Would understand if restaurant was fully booked. But only 1/3 of restaurant tables were seated at all time… Small portvinsaus for the mains. Lamb course was only a mouthfull…

Stay away from these scammers!
Probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had; The only reason we decided to stay here during our roadtrip was because of the large pool. During check-in the staff said that the pool area was free of charge for hotel guests, but the downstairs spa had a fee. Which is totally understandable. However, the woman working the spa, and the pool boy/guard, tried to charge all the guests using the sunbeds by the pool a fee of 15euros per chair and day. We, and other guests, found it outrageous and refused to pay. They eventually gave up which signalled that their scam was a hit or miss kind of thing. What's next, charging a fee for the chairs at the breakfast? Extra cost of you want a bed in your room? They also had extremely loud pool parties, so if you want a nice and relaxing vacation - look for something else.
