    A great Island getaway

We had a wonderful week at this property. The setting is beautiful, as is the house itself. The beach is rocky, but we did not mind that. Just put on some shoes and go for an evening stroll. Kristina was very responsive to any questions we had.

    Beautiful house but more cleaning

The house is beautiful and great location. We were disappointed with the detail on cleanliness. I got to grab a mug for coffee the first morning and realized it was dirty. I grab another and same thing. I decided to pull all of them out of the cupbord and they were all dirty. It seems to me that perhaps last visitors didn’t turn on the dishwasher and when cleaning person came just put them away without checking if they were clean. We were grossed out about the rest of the dishes. Found a pan not washed either, it still had eggs attached to it 😡🤢

    Better than the pictures!

Cozy, comfortable, spacious property in a spectacular location. The amenities and space of this house far exceed the listing details. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and we had lots of room. The play area / landing is such a bonus! Kristina was lovely to communicate with

    Sister's Retreat

My three sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The loft area was a perfect space for crafting. The living room was nice and cosy for visiting while the kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. We had a couple of nice days and enjoyed a walk on the beautiful beach. A perfect Sister's Retreat!

    Hidden Gem

The pictures are true to the property. From the moment we started booking right through to leaving everything was perfect. As you start down the long driveway you wonder what awaits you, but you get to the next rise and you see the ocean, and 4 homes in a very private quiet setting...and you see that your Beach House is among them. The house amenities, and the views were great. Sitting on the porch or walking on the beach, watching the eagles soar around you. The location is great, allowing easy access to the main highways to explore communities near and far. I hesitate to say too much about the home, as it is already hard to find vacancy here, and my wife and I definitely have plans to book this property again.

    Breath of fresh air

So I am regretting writing this in a way, I almost wish no one would find this place and we could have it all to ourselves. We chose this spot for its capacity for guests but mostly because of its closeness to the ocean. That ability to sit out on the porch every morning and watch the ocean was amazing. You have two other houses between yours and the water but the neighbours were great and there is a clear view and path between the other houses to get to the beach. The beach is not sandy, if you want some time in the sand head down to Qualicum bay where you can park and hit the beach easy. The house was amazing. Clean and spacious with a nice master bedroom upstairs and a nice onsuite. There is a nice big living room off the kitchen with a fireplace and lots of windows. For those families that do like their electronics while on vacation, the Wi-Fi was good and there is a big screen tv that we hooked our devices up to for movies at night. I will mention two things in the ‘negative’ category. 1st, you don’t receive the check in/house info until you book so we didn’t know there would be no outside fires while we were here. Aug 15 to Mid Oct is the fire ban but fires inside the house anytime. 2nd, everyone is different but my wife and I did find the master bed quite hard. If you are use to a softer mattress bring a foam pad or something to help. All in all enjoy your stay and be prepared to want to to return, like us.

    Beach retreat

Located in a small cul de sac of beach properties this beach house offered a great place to unwind. We enjoyed evening fires and dark skies in a large house just steps from the beach. Upstairs offers a great soaker tub and downstairs the wrap around windows offered great views. Quiet community with many great trails to explore and great shopping opportunities nearby .

    Great week in Bowser!

We enjoyed our stay at Bowser Beach House. As a family of 6, with 4 teenagers, this house was perfect. We had tons of space and the kids often went down to the water searching for crabs and other gems. I often went down and drank my coffee on the beach as the sun came up. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We did not give this house 5 stars mainly because of the master bed. The mattress badly needs to be replaced. We ended up laying all the extra duvets on top of it then putting the sheet back on so we could actually sleep in it. Also the twin bed in the one bedroom needs a new mattress. It would probably be fine for a kid but not a teenage boy. The other beds were great with new mattresses or memory foams. If I am going to nitpick the coffee pot only pours into the pot if it is on a perfect angle and the coffee does not stay hot. Finally, it would have been great if some beach stuff had been provided. A couple of lawn chairs/beach chairs and a day cooler would have been helpful. Overall we loved the house and would recommend staying here. When it comes to grocery shopping for a large family Toms grocery is not the place to go. It is very expensive. If you are looking for a sandy beach head 2 km down the road towards Qualicum, you will see a sign for Sunny beach road. This beach is beautiful and if you go during low tide you will find all sorts of treasures and creatures. We did a day trip to Tofino and took a kayak tour. The drive is around 2 1/2 hours and very windy. If you have any who get carsick be sure to take something before you leave. We had a great week exploring and spending time together! Thanks!
