Booked this place 6 months in advance, it went out of business 4 months prior to my arrival, I received no notice, and arrived for my stay to find the place boarded up and the doors chained. Could not reach anyone at orbitz in a timely matter nor get anyone to speak with live, so we had to book a room for the night out of pocket at an inferior place. When orbitz finally called the booked my stay the remainder of my stay at an inferior resort, my original booking was 5 stars, the new booking was 4 stars, I had prepaid my original booking and resort fees, the new place had higher resort fees and orbitz did not reimburse or compensate me for those fees. We had MLB tickets for the night we arrived and missed the game trying to find a room, agin orbitz offered no compensation. Greatly disappointed that that i received no notice of my original booking closing down and was still listed on the orbitz website as active until the next day after my arrival and then was taken down. I will turn this over to my attorney as we feel there is compensation due and file a complaint with the better business bureau.
