Exceptional 10.0
This was a very important family trip and the manager Corey went above and beyond to make sure our family had the trip we needed. From my 23 and 25 year old kids to my 83 year old mother, everyone loved it. Daria at check in was so sweet - even texted to make sure we had all we needed! Rooms were small - and the view was the air conditioning system, but we didn’t go to NYC to hang out in the room! And considering I had asked for all three rooms to be near each other, the noise was worth it as Corey had taken care of the logistics beautifully. I would suggest the option of a refrigerator- even a tiny dorm sized one would be great. Corey checked on us throughout our stay. He was phenomenal! Also wonderful was Derrick, a doorman. He got us cabs right away, directions on the best route to walk somewhere- and always with a wonderful and genuine smile! He’s a treasure! I will never forget the care Corey took and I WILL be staying at the Lexington from now on whenever I go back to NYC - which is 4-6 times a year. Thank you Corey - and your amazing staff!

Small quaint rooms but big hotel experience!
I was greeted by Katherine at check in she was so warm and friendly. Nicole took over to make sure our room was ready as we had requested an early check-in. Nicole chatted with me about the city and gave great suggestions for sight seeing and outings. I had called ahead and spoken to Lynn to request an early check in, while talking to her I mentioned that we had the same name. She called our room to make sure I had arrived and to see if anything was needed. She asked if my accommodations were to my liking. She even took the time to meet me personally. Audrey was the housekeeper assigned to our floor for our entire stay. Audrey is so friendly and approachable, by the time we checked out I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. The bartender in the lobby makes the best drinks. He knew exactly what to make me even though I couldn't decide. You really don't have to leave the hotel, it is always people gathered in the lobby socializing. Even the doorman was warm and friendly despite being in that frigid weather. This hotel has the absolute best customer service I have ever experienced. It will definitely be my go to hotel whenever I am in NY.

1st time in NYC CliffNotes
My 1st time in NYC. My 10 suggestions: 1. In order to prevent walking a block with luggage, use E. 48th street or the name of the hotel. The main entrance is on the corner of Lexington and E. 48 the street. Catch a taxi at the taxi stations. 2. Read and learn https://www.nycsubwayguide.com/subway/basics.aspx Closest entrance is at E.51 street. The best value is the unlimited metrocard at $34/ person for 7 days 3. Concierge suggestions are spot on. Also, .99/ pizza slice just 3 min walk down Lexington. 4. Hotel is older. So it's slow to heat/cool or drain..just adds to it's character. 5. Hotel will add a 25/day resort fee to your initial quote. In return you get a Bar and Landry credit to use. 6. If you are on a budget, be prepared for the hotel to put an authorized credit hold for the quoted amount, resort fees, and apx 25%. So make sure you are prepared for the credit hold on your credit card. 7. Guest services, house keeping, laundry services, valet, and concierge are all helpful and friendly. The bartender, Kuscht (sp?) , Is the Best! 8. Earplugs are provided in the room if the city noise gets too loud, and a champagne vending machine to help join in the noise. 9. If you visit Chinatown or Little Italy, bring cash. Lots of cash only places 10. Location! Location! The hotel is only 15-25 min walk/ride from most attractive and hotspots. Enjoy NYC! (Bring comfy shoes)

Cockroach in the bathtub!!!!
I was in this hotel over the weekend, and I had such a bad experience on it. First of all when I got at my room the bathtub wasn't working that well, I called the front desk to change the room the didn't have another room available, so they sent someone to fix it and I was naked tying to get ready for an event, I asked the handyman guy to come back in like 30 minutes he never came back. When I got back from my event was around 2:00am my bathtub wasn't fixed yet. So they sent a guy to fixed it at 2:00 am when I was so tired and I had it to wait for him. In the following day I went to take a shower and when I was taking a shower a cockroach came out of the curtain! That was so frios and disgusting and I tried to contact the manager over 4x she never answered me. I came down to the front desk to request a refund because that was really anti hygiene from s hotel tô have a HUGE cockroach on the bathroom. The manager which last name was Garcia wasn't helpful, she said I couldn't get refund but I could get a room for the next time there and she would provide me a free upgrade and breakfast included on my stay. She also asked me to send her an email and it's been a week already she never responded me back. Here I am trying to book the room and remind her what happened, she never picks up the phone and the crew or any other manager couldn't do anything for me. This is really frustrating situation because they should have done something for their customers. I would never recommend any

I am currently still in contact with management to address my concerns, but I just wanted to sit down and write out some of my issues to make other guests aware. I arrived at my prepaid for hotel at 1:30 am after a long day of traveling. The informed me that they were overbooked and set me up in a different hotel. It took me over an hour to get to my new hotel and check into my room. In the afternoon, I had to check back into the Lexington, which took an hour out of the middle of my busy day. I was only in New York for the weekend and wanted to be able to fit in as much as possible, so I was disappointed. The front desk staff I dealt with was very kind, understanding, and helpful. Overall the hotel was clean, and I had no issues with my actual stay once I settled in. The hotel management has been difficult to contact and has not been the best at addressing my concerns. The staff told me I would receive a refund for my first night, but it was my job to contact Expedia and send all the info and contact stuff (for their mistake). It is now four days after my trip, and they have still failed to respond to Expedia even though I sent the info. Annoying to pay for a hotel, and still have the stress of dealing with the vacation even once home. I have traveled to New York many times and have stayed at all sorts of hotels and never had this happen. I recommend Yotel, Park Central, and the GEM hotel.
