Bahia del sole was under renovation, they accommodated us at the sister property Mercure Hotel. That was a bit more updated. We had a great balcony view that overlooked the docks. Beautiful property, friendly staff as well. Very convenient. Taxi from port to hotel was reasonable.

Please under any circumstance do not book this property. It is unsafe and disgusting. The entire property needs to be demolished. There is black mold in the bathroom which is a health hazard, the beds are filled with spiders and bugs so you will itch all entire night and not sleep. The property is entirely falsely advertised. When you book on expedia, you book based on the information available. The pictures are not at all an accurate depiction of the property and the amenities and services listed are not available at all. The pool does not belong to the property even though it is listed as though it is and you need to pay to access it. The linen is filled with dirt and the hair of previous guests on pillows meaning they do not service each apartment between stays. This is beyond disgusting and unhygienic and a breach of consumer safety in hotels. This is also listed as a 3 star, it is barely a functioning 1 star hotel again misleading guests. The staff are rude when you raise concerns: they walk away from you when you are speaking or shout at you. I took photos of the dirt and hair on the pillow to post online and the staff shouted and asked me to stop taking photos of the dirty unhygienic conditions. We asked to be refunded for our stay since we could not use the black mold shower, nor the tv which does not work, nor sleep in the beds causing us to itch. None was provided. This is unethical business practice and misleading information is being provided on expedia.

The pool was not included, I didn’t feel safe here. The staff was very rude and the check in desk wasn’t even at the property. I don’t recommend.

Never again!
Hotels.com has this listed as a 4 star hotel. This was barely a 1 star hotel. The entire room smelled like cigarette smoke. It was run down and dirty. We had no water all morning. There were only sheets on the bed, no blankets. We had a two room unit and only one of the two air conditioning units worked. The tv was the same size as my iPad. We had to walk from the very back of the complex to the reception area every time we had to contact the front desk because they don’t ever answer the phone number they provide for you to call. Requested a private taxi to get us to the port the next morning for a cruise and wound up having to share the taxi with five others. Will definitely not be sing this hotel again.

You do NOT want to stay here. The property is very dated and needs a lot of maintenance. This was rated as a 4-star hotel, but it’s barely worth a 1 star rating. The rooms are bare. The tiny little television doesn’t even work. The bed was hard. The building clearly marked “Baia Del Sole Hotel Reception” has NOT been the reception building in years. The taxi driver dropped me off there because of the sign. But when I tried to check in I realized it’s just a boarded up dilapidated building that apparently has been vacant for a long time. I asked a groundskeeper where to checkin and he told me the Mercure Hotel across the street had merged with the hotel some time ago and that’s where I needed to check in. I had to drag my bags across the street and some maybe 200 meters to their reception building. Upon checkin, I told them about the problem. The girl at reception said, “yeah, everyone has that problem when they checkin.” I said, well please tell the manager. This can be easily fixed with a new sign. She said, “I have never even met the manager.” She laughed and continued, “maybe he doesn’t even exist.” This is a terrible hotel. If you decide to stay here despite this review definitely do not expect this to be anywhere near a 4-star hotel! You have been warned!

Friendly staff. Clean room. Yummy breakfast. Property grounds need attention (grass needed cutting and trimming).

Our room was generally clean. The toilet was badly stained. The bathroom lighting above the sink & mirror did not work. The TV worked electrically but no programming was available. The electric heat pump did not work so we had no heat and the room was cool. We managed with extra blankets on our bed at night. I informed management but it was not fixed during our one night stay. We enjoyed the free breakfast. The price & quality of the evening dinner was good.

It was a basic room with no real amenities- except breakfast - which was fine for what we needed. It was strange to not have a lobby with a staff member in it. But it was clean and comfortable.

The place /facilities was misrepresented in your Expedia App , the place looks abandoned , no singage scary we've been going back and forth looking for the reception area , on the address the hotel name is Sunset bay to finally we found we have to check in at Mercure hotel across Baia hotel and walk 500 ft towing our luggages at 2 pm on gravel , the only positive comment is that the AC was working .

This property does not have a front desk on site. Building/property feels and looks abandoned! Felt very unsafe. Not sure why they are renting rooms here! Expedia should send someone to see this place! Breakfast is a bad joke!
