Great location. My room needed renovation and a good cleaning. There was mold in the tub, blood on the comforter, and rather large spiders climving the walls. Housekeeping never entered the room during 2 day stay.

Good: Beds were comfy, place was quiet and breakfast was good. Location very good. Bad: No fan in the bathroom (which I thought a requirement), one light in room didn't work, no plug in bathtub, but by far the worst was no internet to speak of. Got bumped from it at least every 30 seconds. So bad we cancelled our second night stay and went elsewhere. Also, back door to building was left unlocked - no key required to enter so security was non-existent. View is a joke - windows not in a position to even be looked out of.

Last minute weekend trip to Charleston and we decided to book this budget friendly beauty. Really glad we did. Staff were super friendly, hotel is centrally located and QUIET, right on the water. Yes, the building is old but the bed was comfy, showers were hot, towels were lovely and fluffy, parking was plentiful and free and the hotel is dog friendly.

The room was comfortable. I had a broken clothes rack in the closet, and the vent fan in the bathroom did not work. The cleanliness and eco-friendly service was great. The staff was warm and friendly, with smiles and greetings when I came by. Breakfast items were plentiful, with hot items and fruit and cereal. Good place to stay. Convenient location for my needs.

$15 uber right to downtown
Check in process was the fastest I have ever done. The cleanliness was adequate. It looked like an older hotel. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. We had to ask for shampoo, soap, and lotion. It was a quiet area and hotel. The waffles for breakfast was really good, but the sausage and eggs were just average. It is really close to downtown Charleston, but you have to walk over a bridge, so you can't walk there.

The place look broken down. The rooms were okay but had like stains on the wall that looked like rust or dry blood in several places. The bed felt like it was sinking. It was the worst sleep I’ve ever had! Would never book there again
