Good B&B, nice welcome and helpful owners stairs in this old mill building are very steep, need to be very careful up and down particularly when carrying luggage.

Room was excellent and the house blend coffee a nice touch. Only stair access not recommended if you have a 40kg suitcase. Staff were excellent.

A shame
Lovely place, but no information was given when bookinv that the pub was actually shut,it was room only which was disappointing. After a long day at work, was looking forward to getting there, having a meal and a beer, not having to travel 4 miles up the road to get a takeaway. A stunning looking place and cant fault the room. If the pub was open,id definitely stay again

Sophia met us to open the inn. She is kind. This is the couple’s business. It is an ambitious project. The bed is comfortable. The linens are quality. The rooms are quite small. There is coffee service. The breakfast served downstairs is tasty and quite ample. We have never had a macerator in a bathroom before. Most likely it is necessary with the age of the building. The Inn is a fine place to stay. We were confused because of the 4 star or highest rating system. So, expectations needed to be managed.

8/10 Very good

Bit run down.
If we hadn’t already booked we probably would have kept on driving. Out side area so untidy and not well kept. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Stairs very steep - no good for anyone that has problems with mobility. Food was good. Probably wouldn’t book again.

Poor
THere was no heating, the room was freezing. You cant get food on a Monday and Tuesday evening which is not told to you until you have booked. Breakfast is only between 8-9am which is no good of you are travelling on business, my engineer was then told he couldnt have a breakfast box (which is advertised as an option) There was no one else in the hotel and my engineer was left as the key holder responsible of locking up the hotel if he were to leave and get food.
