Just finished off the last night of a trip here. Newly changed hotel brands so no liquor license yet but the food in the restaurant was great. Very friendly staff. Cool facilities. Would host an event here.

Bad experience

We had a bad experience here and would not stay again or recommend it. The Valet was never there when we needed them and we missed our reservations AND had to run for our flight because of lack of staffing. They closed the bar/restaurant early and left us stranded with no food/drink options. The keycard stopped working and they gave us an attitude about reprogramming them.

Room was poor. Dry rought curtains with holes, no coffee available in lobby or easy to get, coffee maker in room but no coffee, tv cable cut in/out & froze, balcony full of water , toilet very (will delicately say) one that was ever tested for sanitary usability , ….

BUCKHEAD WYNDHAM

Staff is fine but the change from Marriott to Wyndham does not work. The loss of points, the club, and the restaurant (the bar was closed due to lack of liquor license) makes this Wyndham property a no go for business travelers. Moreover, this property is showing its wear and tear. Will not be returning.

No wifi - yes, it's a problem

Terrible experience. While some was not attributed to the hotel - such as no phone service and NO wifi, perhaps offering a free breakfast the next morning may have helped. As an international traveler, I had to go over to the JW Marriott for wifi. Had I stayed there, it would probably have been cheaper than what I paid in international roaming fees for voice and data. Seriously, we live in modern times, and this is the best you could do? I gave hotels.com your phone number and email and they said they could not contact you for resolution. This was a very disappointing experience. I use hotels.com for cost-effective options, but this just cost me more than the $300 hotel a block away.

A hotel in transition

The hotel is currently in transition from a Marriott to a Wyndham Hotel. The hotel didn't even have a sign on in when we were looking for it. Parking is easy in the nearby garage (about $40) per night to park there. We could only find one floor with a working ice machine. Breakfast is mediocre and costs $20 each. However, the location in Buckhead is fantastic and the cost for the rooms were very affordable. The beds were very comfortable, however, no cleaning during our two day stay. Having a fridge in the room is very helpful and the room is spacious.

This property was advertised as a Wyndham but it was just taken over by them. Food was terrible, the hotel bar was not set up, the hotel was run down and in need of a major overhaul. The staff didn’t seem to know what was going on other than it had been recently taken over. If I had know that I would not have booked it.

If you just want a roof over your head

There were only two staff members during check-in and check-out, which were inadequate for the scale of the hotel. The staff moves fast but there were always people who have complicated needs, and the line just stopped moving for about 10 minutes. The check-in staff was friendly but did not give necessary information about direction to room or parking. The hand writing of the room number was was hardly legible. The room was overall good. The only issue was about the water temperature, which was not warm even when set to the highest level - similar to a typical hotel pool temperature - bearable but not comfortable.

Property very difficult to locate, no signage. Front desk was helpful. First room TV did not work and was missing curtains. Front Desk reassigned. However new room was very cold, took a very long time to heat up. Bkfst bar looked good but tasted subpar. Scrambled eggs had no flavor, probs out of a carton, link sausages were cold. Potatoes not seasoned. Too costly for quality. Parking Kiosk in corridor was out of order, had to go back to front desk with luggage etc. Code did not work upon exiting lot had to call service. Staff tried to fix problems but lots to overcome for a stay.
