This hotel is a dumpster fire. The small touches like the lack of toilet paper and a toilet paper holder in the bathroom, the photos of depressed elderly women decorating the room, the use of a plastic trash bag as a trash can, or the perpetually broken elevator really make this a crappy place to stay.
The “city view” means you are looking directly at a FootbLocker, nothing else just Foot Locker.
When working, the elevator opens up into the stairwell midway between each floor so you must carry your luggage up or down stairs. There’s an open stairwell to the street located next to the hotel stairwell so anyone can walk into the hotel at any time in a neighbor where homelessness is an issue.
If you are really lucky you might see one person who cleans or carries bags, carts towels… during your stay and they will not be able to help you with anything. IMPORTANT NOTE! Also, the one person who does clean speaks neither English or Italian and has a habit of throwing out newly purchased items from rooms. The hotel clerk at the counter has a process for sifting through the trash to get your stuff.
In the bathroom, the sink has a flow problem so it only drips water that is either hot or old (you get one and you don’t get to choose which one it is.)
There is a chain restaurant On the ground floor that is about as good and authentic as an Olive Garden, this place hosts breakfast.
The tram is also loud 21 hours a day, every day.
