The Majestic is in an excellent location with a 7th floor view of the Zócalo however the service leaves much to be desired. The shower water temperature was luke warm, the beds were firm and the antique elevator was not in service at 7 am. We had to lug our luggage down six floors.

Loved it!
My husband and I were at this hotel for four days. We absolutely loved it! The hotel is in the Socalo area in Mexico City. It’s right across from the Mexican flag. The hotel has a colonial style and we loved our balcony bedroom facing the Metropolitan Cathedral. It is walking distance to Bella Artes, Torre Latinoamericana, Alameda Central, Monumeto Juárez. The hotel counts with a restaurant on the top floor that overlooks the Zócalo. The food was great!L and the view and beautiful! There’s many near by restaurants in the area as well. The staff was great and very informative. We purchased a tour to the Teotihuacán Piramida at the hotel for a good price of $600 pesos for each.

The rooms Can use a little bit of TLC I know it’s an old building but It doesn’t need some care specially on the floor in the bathrooms there’s also There is no Air conditioning in the rooms

Enjoyed our stay
Like everyone says, you pay for the location. Hotel is old but everything in that area is pretty old. If you want to wake up and be in the center of all the action then this place is for you. If you're looking for something more quiet and relaxing than book somewhere else.

Day of death
Please add an extra blanket in the room and also to little tables with lamps on each side of the beds. Everything else is great!, oh, one more thing.... the dinner buffet needs to improve. I would be better more authentic Mexican food, such as tacos, mole, flautas, pozole, tamales, flan, arroz con leche, ponche etc. Thank you!

I loved everything about this place

Wonderful service. Wonderful location. The bathrooms need to be remodeled. A lot of noise from the square.

Great hotel but rooms need better soundproofing.
It is a great super central hotel but as it is so central Bare In mind that the main square opposite generally has people on megaphones preaching until quite late. There is the sound of traffic all through the night. The hotel sound get some more sound proof windows for those rooms with the view of the square because they are not that quiet, especially if you jet lagged and sleeping in the middle of the day. Similarly the floors and ceilings need more sound proofing as you can hear people walking around upstairs above your room very clearly! That’s especially bad if you on the top floor below the restaurant because there are always chairs being moved in the restaurant. Other than the sound proofing there wasn’t anything else that was bad. The staff were super nice and helpful on the night shift; those on the day shift weren’t quite as good regrettably. Rooms are good size and the bed was the right amount of softness and hardness. Shower was warm and strong, and the free room water was super useful too. wifi was decent too.

Poor 2.0
Not worth your money
We are frequent travelers and this has to be one of the worst hotels we had stayed. First there's no AC on none of the rooms, shower was falling apart, room was dated and no outside view. there's very little lighting on the hallways and the elevator was very old and operated by a doorman. Check-in is at 3pm not 2pm like is advertised in multiple websites. Do yourself a favor a book another hotel. Don't expect good customer service either.

Views and helpful staff
We had a plaza view which was wonderful at night. The terrace on the 7th floor has fantastic views as well. The staff was wonderful.
