6/10 Good

Overpriced and service was mediocre
At the price the hotel is going for there is a lot left to be desired. Overall, the rooms could be cleaner and more modernized. Service was also an issue I had encountered, especially considering that they mixed up the dates of my stay. Initially they had offered me a free night in person but upon checking out, with a different manager on site, proceeded to charge me for their mistake. When I told them I was offered a free night otherwise would’ve not stayed the extra night (due their error) the on site manager laughed. Additionally there were lots of staff starring at me during my stay with not the greatest hospitality. At times felt very white lotus-y with even what I suspect an escort approaching me. If costs were lower, and service was better I’d recommend. Food was good overall though.

Sababa was nice. Loved the view from our room in the mornings. The free breakfast was a plus. (That hot chocolate & the fruit & omelette!!!) Sidebar: definitely add more grip on the floor can be super slippery.

The food was amazing! We occupied 6 rooms and they all had slow drainage in the bathrooms.

The hotel partners with outside shuttle drivers, and we didn’t have the best experience with one of them. Outside of that everything was excellent. They really care about their guest and will do just about anything to ensure you have a great stay! The property is also very beautiful, clean and relaxing. And the food at the restaurant was delicious!!

4/10 Fair

We got charge high rates from a 4 star hotel in a 1 star hotel. The rooms were dirty, old, the shower leaking all over, furniture was old, pool was horrible and dirty, the room we found lots of spiders and in of them felt in my daughters eyes and got infected. We were very disappointed with the hotel. If anyone thinking of staying here please think about it twice. I would recommend La Puerta Del Mundo hotel. I was also told that my money for the reservation was gonna be returyto my card and I'm still waiting for the transaction to be done. I was charge a lower amount for the night that we stay and they also added additional fees that supposedly would be charge to them by Expedia because I did my reservation through a third party. BE CAREFUL GUYS WITH THIS HOTEL. I believe they scam people that don't know the true value of this HOTEL.

Great stay at the establishment. Only nitpick was that I found it hard going to sleep since they had the speakers on to late night. Will come back again not in the rainy season and with more friends.

Bathroom was very moldy , smelled of wet mildew . The bathtub knobs fell off during my stay and they used duck tape to fix it . No Air conditioning. Everything guest shared ( lounge chairs , towels ) were stained and dirty . I wasn’t comfortable sitting or lying on anything . Because of the language barrier they tried to overcharge.

Sababa is the best of a bad bunch in San Pedro. I would avoid staying in San Pedro as there is nothing other than nightlife in the place (ok if that’s what you are looking). Sababa itself is nice at first sight, although it’s very limited for space and shade. The dining area also plays music at a level as if it was a concert, which is not relaxing or enjoyable. Room doesn’t have AC and the blanket and pillows are terribly uncomfortable. Sheets were partly stained on arrival. Bathroom was OK, very dated. Positives - breakfast buffet and food are top notch. The staff at the bar are friendly and helpful. Overall, if you have to stay in San Pedro, Sababa is a good option but it is expensive compared to other places we stayed that we’re just as nice. It’s overpriced for what it is..
