This has been my go to hotel in NYC for years. Probably stayed here 12-15 times but this stay was disappointing. The cloth shower curtain smelled like mold, the shower didn't drain well, the exhaust fan doesn't draw any air, the towels were as thin as kleenex, the TV kept cutting out, the remote was hard to work and the windows were covered with dirt. Ill need to re-consider where to stay on my next trip.

Beware: Bed Bugs and Poor Customer Service
We stayed for 2 nights in a standard room with 2 beds. On our first night, my friend saw a bug on the corner of her eye in bed. We caught it and discovered it was a bed bug full of blood. Upon calling housekeeping, the housekeeping manager simply dropped off blankets and instructed us to change the blankets ourselves. Of course, we weren’t willing to change the covers ourselves, so we called him again. He said that there was no housekeeper on duty, and left it at that. I called the front desk to speak to a manager there. They moved us to a different room which was a downgrade due to the fact that it was smaller and had no fridge like the first room had.We never received an apology for being bitten by a bed bug, for having to move in the middle of the night, or for having to call multiple times to get help. It was obvious that they had dealt with this problem before and didn’t care. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody, unless they are DESPERATE for a semi-cheap stay with bed bugs and poor service.

2nd stay at Double Tree Hilton in NYC with this one being a much more pleasant stay. Front Desk seemed friendlier and more willing to help. However the rooms are becoming more run down and in need of some renovations. The air conditioning in the the rooms was also very stuffy.

Don’t stay at this Hotel!!
Good check-in but poor service the rest of the stay. We had to be moved rooms because someone was smoking and the smell went thru the vents. Rooms are old, out dated and extremely dark. I will never stay here again. The door man was rude and didn’t even bother opening the door for you. Crazy charges on my account, I had to get a break down of all that was being charged and of course the representative had a tone and very bad attitude at the time of answering. Also.... the A/C was on (29 degrees outside) couldn’t shut it off, had to ask for help ( not user friendly). There is clear water damage all over the bathroom area.
