      It was ok...

The place was beautiful, they were remodeling parts of it but that did not interrupt anything. The room was just like pictured, but there was paint pealing off the ceiling, paint bubbling at the AC/Heat unit. There was a patch on the ceiling as well from a leak that was not even painted or sanded. We paid for the 2 hour early check-in/out and the hotel would not honor it because we book through hotels.com rather disappointing as that was the main reason we chose this hotel over others. We had a wedding to go to that day and would have only had an hour to get ready after driving 2-3 hours. Overall it was ok, would stay again just due to the location to our family that is in augusta and I believe after all renovations are done it was be beautiful!

      Quaint historic hotel!

This is a historic hotel with so much character. The check-in staff and housekeepers are friendly. The dining staff have the right things to say, but do little to hide their annoyance with anything more than one question. This hotel otherwise has something special about it and is worth the visit.

Beautiful historic hotel, relaxed COVID precaution

We loved the history of the Partridge Inn and appreciated the quirks of winding halls, parking lots made before oversized vehicles were the norm, and evidence of updates atop historic luxuries. The outdoor spaces and indoor decor are beautiful! Keep in mind, this hotel is 100 years old, if you’re expecting 21st century/modern accommodations, this may not be the hotel for you. We enjoyed the location, the front desk staff were soo nice and helpful, especially the evening staff. The only concern I had was the somewhat loose mask requirements of guests and staff. Many guests were seen not wearing masks in common areas, staff were seen wearing masks below their nose, and sometimes only putting a mask on in the presence of guests despite being in a common area. There was not a unified sense of accountability for diminishing risk of contracting COVID.

      Average

Front desk worker wasn't welcoming. My room was very average and I found long strings of black hair in my shower after checking in. The beds were extremely comfortable. Overall, for this to be considered upscale, my room was very average. The restaurant/bar is nice and the staff there was extremely welcoming. The hotel is a hideway but would this be one of my top choices to pick when traveling, I would have to say no. They hold a $50 charge on your card when checking in and charge for onsite parking. I don't think this hotel is worth the extra charges when a room booking fee is already expensive plus the restaurant is expensive with food that is good but not considered top notch for the price.

A little mishap doesn't ruin everything!

The room itself was pretty good. However, my wife called around noon, day off to have a surprise of rose petals and champagne delivered to our room since we were coming from our wedding. We arrived around 6:30pm and there was no surprise. However, they comped the champagne, as well as drinks and dessert at dinner. The kitchen manager for the evening of January 23rd saved the night!

      Beautiful hotel. Great service.

This is a gorgeous property. Everyone from Charles at the arrival area to the hotel staff inside were wonderful. We have stayed twice recently, had different rooms each time and we were very pleased with everything.

I was told restaurant on the second floor opened at 5:30am when I checked in but I went down for breakfast at about 6:30am. After taking my order, waitress came back 5 mins later to say Chef had not yet arrived and he was expected in 10 mins. Food arrived about 15 mins after that - eggs were not cooked and grits were cold. It was obvious he just rushed to get something out since he was late. I had to send food back so it could be cooked properly. Avocado had brown spots everywhere. Worst dining experience I’ve had at a hotel. Unbelievable!!!
