Nice and quaint
This is a nice hotel but it is geared towards out of town workers. It’s not very roomy and there’s no closet space. Would I stay here again, yes if I was by myself but not as a couple or family.

The first room I was assigned had a man screaming at the children and after a couple of minutes I couldn't bear it. The second room I was assigned had the AC grill on the floor and what looked like maintenance work in the process. The third room I was assigned was on the first floor, facing the parking lot. I believe room 104. I could smell a freshly cleaned/bleach odor and that was just fine for me. The admit clerk, Vicky, was super helpful and very knowledgeable regarding the area. The bed was very comfortable, room AC was perfect and the breakfast was a collection of hot sandwiches, fresh fruits and yogurt and coffee. I would definitely return.

AVID Hotel in Portland Texas
Overall stay was okay. The breakfast area could have been bigger considering the amount of people that flock around in there. By the time my kids were able to get some food there was just a few cold fruits for them to grab.
