Coronavirus nightmare
It was so cold and none of the thermostats worked . The bathroom was filthy, tub and toilet were visibly dirty and when we asked for somebody to come and clean it they never came. We went down to the front desk and asked for somebody to come up and the person came up and handed us a spray bottle of Clorox and some cloths to clean it ourselves . Didn’t even have the decency to give us gloves Smhhhh . I got a picture of the disgusting tub but we had to go to the bathroom so badly by the time we got the cleaning products that we didn’t even get a chance to get the toilet. It made my skin crawl knowing that In a time like this during the corona virus pandemic house keeping is not cleaning thoroughly if at all ! I am a nurse and we are advised to stay in hotels to avoid bringing the virus home to our immunocompromised loved ones and It would be nice to be able to take a deep breath after a long day of chaos and not being able to see your family instead of stressing Over a dirty bathroom

Fair 4.0
The rooms are half the size we expected. It was also not an up to date room. Unfortunately upon preparing to checkout I saw a roach for the very first time in my life. I was truly disgusted. I decided to first speak housekeeper. She expressed very little concern as if this was a normal thing. I decided to take matters further and speak with a manager. The manager was rude.m, but maybe that’s a New York thing. He eventually offered to refund our last night stay and our resort fee. We have not yet received our payout.

Not deluxe. Fairly old hotel
The hotel is quite old. When booking a "Deluxe" Studio, I was hoping for a bit better standard especially since it is meant to be a 4-star hotel. In the end, the room was far from modern, with very old heating/aircon system, and very old/tiny bathroom. The shower, which is really, really small was a little disgusting. Most of the "standard" hotel rooms in Europe are much, much better. The photos are quite misleading. The only "deluxe" thing about my room was that we had king-sized bed, the room was slightly bigger, and had a couch. Honestly, I would prefer something smaller but modern. The location is great for a tourist, right opposite Madison Square Garden, but you could probably find nicer, smaller hotels few blocks away. Still close, but perhaps less crowded area. And what has been mentioned in previous reviews, they do charge you at the end of your stay around $40 (£32) a day for sales tax and "hotel facilities fee" (gym access, internet, in-room coffee). This is mentioned within the small-print on hotels.com. So make sure you add this cost in when booking.

I like the Stewart the frond desk has been kind to me both times I stayed, so about that no complains. The conditions of the room should be improved you should fix the tvs and add Netflix to them so people can watch. Please make it happen nd they need to fix the shower floors very dirty.

0 Sleep!
I could not get any sleep for the 2 nights I was there. My side of the room was facing the street. The sirens from the fire engines were super loud... The fire hall was right beside the hotel. Also, there was construction going on into the night was was also super loud.

Poor 2.0
Very Poor response time
1st - the hallway and our room smelled like weed, then 2nd - There was a party in the room next to ours starting around 11:00 pm with pounding music and loud laughter, talking, etc. I called the front desk and was told they would send security to the room but no one came, so I called again, no one came. After the third call (about an hour and a half after my first call), finally the music was turned down. We had to wake up at 4 am to catch a flight, so not being able to fall asleep until 1:00 am was beyond frustrating. I understand it’s not the hotel’s fault that inconsiderate people stayed in the room next to us, however, the hotels response time was absolutely unacceptable. Also - the room was so hot and stuffy. The window a/c was covered up for the winter so there was no way of cooling the room down. We lowered the heat as far as possible, but it was very uncomfortable.
