For a business traveler this is a definite no-go. Long Street is noisy until 5am and the hotel has no sound insulation. It is impossible to sleep with all the noise. The place is also in desperate need of a refurb.

I would not stay there again and would not recommend this property to anyone for quality, limited service and may even having basic amenities, such as usb power points, no room service at 2pm in the afternoon and if you order a drink you have to go downstairs to fetch it your self and to top it off found a staple pin in my omelette this morning.

Good place if adjacent bars could have soundproof
It was a good experience in terms of the room and the service. The location was however a problem late at night as one could only sleep in the early hours of the night when the loud music from the bars and night clubs stopped. Wish the city could have a soundproof requirement for the bars to allow others to rest

Great for nightlife, not for the light sleepers
Fantastic room and service, but after 10, the street below becomes a party zone. If you like to be out in the evening for dining, drinking, and dancing, this is a great place for you.

For night owls and partiers
The hotel itself is top-notch, and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. However, it sits right across the street from several hostels and nightclubs, and the party there goes on all night long. And I do mean all night - things finally quieted down around 5 am. In a brilliant move, management provides ear plugs upon check-in, but it was still hard to get a good night's sleep.

Room was good. Barman 4 put of 5.Tv dit not work and nobody seems to no what to do???( very disappointing)specially if you just want to veg in the room. The breakfast was bad very bad.In summary : if you live in a 60-80km radius like we do and want to have a nice evening out, get a cab for R300 and go home. For R100 less please exclude the breakfast

Luxury in a very noisy place.
A luxurious hotel. Loved the room space and breakfadt. Two draw backs 1. The location! To the hotels credit they offer earplugs, but I find them uncomfortable. So didn't sleep due to party revellers in Long street. Secondly, the kettle in the room was so dirty, I was put off making myself a cup of coffee. A small thing like that has the potential of spoiling what would be a beautiful experience.

Nice hotel, not the best location.
Nice Hotel, Difficult to enter through the rotating door with luggage. Service and room was good, good view from the room and it was nice that parking was included at no extra cost. Only thing that was annoying about the parking was that the keycards did not work to enter the hotel from the parking and you have to walk outside the hotel onto the street before using the main entrance.
Biggest dislike for the stay was the constant noise from the road right until 3am, even after the bars closed people were screaming and talking loudly and spinning tyres which disturbed our sleep. The hotel did not call in law enforcement or anything to address this.

Whilst the room was comfortable and Clean.
I found that the Air Conditioning unit was not working too well.
Which made the stay pretty uncomfortable.
