**My Disappointing Stay at The Nest Hotel, Istanbul**
I recently stayed at The Nest Hotel in Istanbul for four nights and wanted to share my frustrating experience.
I booked through Expedia using the "pay at property" option, expecting to settle the bill at check-in. However, the hotel charged my credit card at 8 AM before I even arrived. When I inquired about it, the staff informed me they don’t offer that option, even though my booking confirmation clearly stated it. One staff member, Mehrnoush, was particularly rude, dismissing my concerns and insisting I had made a mistake. Despite showing my confirmation, she refused to acknowledge the issue.
To make matters worse, the hotel charged me CAD 10 more than my confirmed amount—CAD 502 instead of CAD 492—with no explanation provided. Additionally, they ran out of basic amenities like toothbrushes, which were never provided during my entire stay.
Lastly, the room didn’t match the photos online, with noticeably lower quality. Overall, my stay was disappointing due to the unprofessional staff, unexpected charges, and misleading advertising. I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for a hassle-free experience.
