Great Location, Lovely Staff & Breakfast

We only stopped here for a few days but the room was lovely with a large balcony which we made full use of and a complimentary bottle of wine when we arrived. The breakfasts which were included with our room were good and you had a choice from the entire menu.

Plaka hotel that is below expectations

Awesome location. The hotel was next to the restaurant, which is where the check in was located. No hotel lobby. The room was okay but the bed was not comfortable. The shower does not work. We stayed in 2 rooms and both rooms had the same shower problem. I reported it but it was never fixed. The included breakfast was not good. I had the Mediterranean Omelette and it was not good. You want to stay in plaxa but this place is not good.

RARE GEM in ATHENS The hotel is situated in a safe, affluent, and peaceful neighborhood in Plaka. There are an incredible number of dining options nearby. Its close proximity to major archaeological sites is a significant advantage. Breakfast is served in a charming building next door. The staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!

The main benefit of the hotel is the direct accessibility to Plaka and Anafiotika. Situated in a lovely little plaza with tons of restaurants and shopping streets, right next to the famous bar Brettos. Staff was lovely and accommodated us as we arrived early. They kept our luggage until the room was ready and they always try to make the room available around noon which is very nice. They are attached to a restaurant that has a good view of the Acropolis. Good breakfast too.

Beep beep we didn’t sleep

Our stay at this place was awful. The first night, we discovered that our keypad was acting funny, beeping every 10-60 minutes (no rhyme or reason on the timing). Now, you don’t need a keypad for the rooms. You get a key. Rather than just disconnect the thing, staff tried to manage it somehow by “disabling,” fiddling with it…everything to avoid disconnecting it. Imagine trying to fall asleep, knowing you’ll hear three shrill beeps from just outside your room. The second night, it continued. I messaged them up until nearly 1am, at which point the power went out. At least the beeping stopped, but that meant the AC did, too, and guests came out of their rooms to investigate for the next hour. It was two sleepless nights. On top of all that, WiFi was nonexistent (it just didn’t function the first night, and the second it was in and out that it was essentially useless). I don’t demand internet when I know I’m going somewhere exotic, but this is a major city where we didn’t have issues at other establishments. The beds are awful, too. We felt every spring. Pros: The location is great, and they’ll store your bags on a late night. Breakfast is included…but that’s true for many properties in the area.

We really liked to stay in this hotel . Rooms are large enough , cozy bad , clean and renovated with enough of space for everything. No issues with check in and check out , easy and simple . VIP benefits was recognized and received! Very close to everything, a lot of dining and stores around , walkable to Acropolis . A little of noise from outside ,as area is very busy and touristic , but in general no issues . Definitely recommended to stay !!

Value for money but not amazing

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff were lovely, the room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels & the position was very convenient in the heart of Plaka. The breakfast was also of good quality. If you’re someone who books a room because of the photos on the website you’ll be very disappointed. They have clearly photographed the most beautiful, opulent room they have. The springs in the bed were digging into me all night & it was very noisy because you are in the thick of Plaka area. There was also bright lights all night coming from the “emergency exit” sign.

This hotel canceled our reservation upon arrival with no explanation and no care in the world to find out why or help us with a new location. We had no room for our first night in Athens . I would not recommend this location due to the chance of this happening to you and as other reviewers. Location is great so look for A hotel nearby that has reception. There is no reception desk here and your entry personal is working at the restaurant so it can be very confusing .

Unnaceptable accomodations

First there is no way of knowing how to wnter the room, we just happened to ask someone in the alley and they started making calls. we were waiting outside for someone to let us in. The matress o. the bed was so thin and hard and pillows were crumbly inside. the shower doesnt have a spot to put shampoo or soap. there is no place to put hand towel, there are no curtains and lights are on outside all night. Completely unnaceptable, can honestly say it is the worse hotel worldwide we have ever stayed at. i hope they make some updates for others to have a more comfortable stay.

It was in a great location, being in Plaka within walking distance of many sights and restaurants. There was no where to check in, as we just stood at the door searing through our reservation for checkin information. The suites are actually connected to a restaurant, so a waitress saw us and helped us get in. There was no formal check in, just asked my name, but then was unsure of what room we were supposed to actually be in, as we were taken to 2 other rooms prior. The room itself looks nothing like the pictures, which is something I do expect sometimes. The first thing we noticed though was that the door to the room wouldnt open all of the way as there was severe buckling, i assume from water damage, in the wood floor all of the way across the room. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable unfortunately, and then there was a giant green exit sign illuminated above the door making it super bright in the bedroom at night to sleep. The doors were supposed to be electronic, but also had a key thankfully, because the electronic portion wouldnt ever work for us. We were not given any information regarding our stay aside from breakfast being served in the restaurant. I had to go down to the restaurant a couple of times to try and get the wifi connected. We also kept finding little tiny ants all over the room, maybe sugar ants. Like I said, great location, but honestly wouldn't stay there again due to our personal experience there.
