Beautiful, peaceful, country pub/hotel. Staff were really pleasant. Mobile food vendor was both reasonably priced and tasted amazing. I would happily and hopefully will stay again.

Reward night
Typical village pub accommodation in an old building. Creaking stairs and uneven floor was expected, bed was comfy but no heating at 10pm but okay in the morning. No food at night but a reasonable continental breakfast.

6/10 Good

Located in pretty village full of honey-coloured stone 5 miles from Towcester. Rooms are over pub which is closed Mondays & doesn't do evening meals tho' you do get free run of the kitchens & a nice continental breakfast with hot pastries. Food can be bought in village shop or takeways ordered from Towcester (Mughal House particularly recommended). Very reasonably priced: £125 for 2 nights including breakfast.
Neil, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice place but needs a major update and noisy people in the pub till 1am
Andrea, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Had a very good sleep. Very friendly staff and helpful for other amenities due to the place being shut on a Monday. If had known before cancellation time I would have gone somewhere else.

Very good
Lovely little country pub in a quiet village. Pub not currently open on Mondays, but owners live locally and open up rooms for guests.
Andrew, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

It looks very cute but the shower and windowsill was horrendously mouldy. The shower spray holder was broken which required a hand held shower. The heating in the room wasnt working and there was no lighting in the hall/ stairwell ..leaving early was a feel the way process and as with a pub it was incredibly noisy until midnight/one.Disappointed that a continental breakdast takeaway wasnt available due to leaving early. ..in rural area without shops or corner stores open. The staff were friendly , comfortable bed and pillows and a much needed warm snuggly blanket. Good wifi signal and TV chanels.
Michele, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty with soap scum - black mould on the grouting which disappeared with one wipe of the thumb so it clearly could all go with one wipe round with a cloth. Irrespective definitely a nice place, would consider returning with the bove in mind! :)
