Great stay!
The El Moore Lodge was a great experience in the heart of Detroit. Small/Boutique building with residences above. The staff were very friendly. There's a lovely park next door and a market around the corner. I will definitely recommend this place to others!

Midtown Lodge in Detroit
Great location, exceptional staff, wonderful experience! The El Moore Lodge is a gem located in mid-town Detroit with lots of fun and interesting discoveries nearby. Best part of my stay was breakfast in the parlor meeting folks who were not in a hurry, spending time talking about everything Detroit.

There is so much to love about this place! We found ourselves saying when can we get back here and stay again and let’s put our friends in here when they want to come visit us in Detroit! The property and building are extremely well managed and taken care of. The location is so close to so many great places to eat and drink. Conveniently located if one wanted to go downtown as the Q-line is just a short walk away. We would highly recommend staying here is you looking for a place to stay in or near downtown!

If in Detroit, stay at the El Moore !!
The El Moore is an absolutely beautiful place !! The history. The quality of the restoration.
The midtown area close to museums, dining, downtown.
Lovely clean room overlooking the front garden. Spacious bathroom. The bed was a tad soft for us ( Others may like it)
Beautiful parlor with great selection of books. We did not watch TV; we read books about the architecture and history of Detroit.
Breakfast is both healthy and delicious!

Great place to stay.
Great eco-friendly, renovated landmark building. If you like bed and breakfasts look no further. Great location with included secure parking. Friendly staff, and included continental breakfast was a great touch. Very clean, and didn't expect housekeeping to clean during my stay.
All in all very pleased, and will likely return if I visit again.

El Moore Lodge was everything! The BEST experience staying in Detroit, far better than any chain hotel. Stunning views, unique room, unbelievably safe, quaint, amazing staff made us feel like VIPs, an adorable grocery store/deli literally in the same yard, walking distance to food and bars...I could go on and on. Surely hope to come back again soon!

The property is in a great location. The parking is phenomenal, the staff is incredibly friendly and it’s close to everything.
We stayed in the “Hawthorne”. There was no notice until we arrived the bathroom wasn’t connected the room. There was no way to control the room temperature and it was incredibly hot (January). Lastly the ceiling/walls are paper thin, you could literally hear everything. This made our stay result in very little sleep.
I can’t say we’d never stay here again, but I certainly wouldn’t ever stay in that room.
