Ivanhoe Hotel A Heritage Property
"The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped organise a fantastic driver Sajan to help with navigating the sights . Cooking in house great too. Having ladies to talk to helped me as a single female traveller. Thanks for all."
Ging Tea House
"Location was excellent and staff wonderful kind and helpful. Scenerary is outstanding."
Hotel Basera
"Food is excellent, and staff are very very good"
Sterling Darjeeling
"Sterling Darjeeling is a great place to stay for a trip to the area. The location is much better than anything close to the mall. You can avoid all the traffic and noise of central Darjeeling. Views of the valley and surround mountains are great. The staff is very helpful. If you’re traveling from the airport, you will get to the property much faster (hours) than any place close to the mall because of all the traffic even though it’s only a few kilometers away. I would highly recommend Sterling Darjeeling."
Planter's Heritage by Cilantro Collections - Mall Road
"The staff were great. The location was perfect and close to main Darjeeling mall. The floors in the room and multiple junctions in the lobby area are uneven which may cause discomfort and extra attention especially for elderly people."
Udaan Dekeling Resort Darjeeling
"Was not aware that the hotel doesn't offer eggs or alcohol. They should have mentioned on their website, especially for international guests."
The Elgin, Darjeeling
"Building is amazing perched on the hillside and the staff were lovely."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Darjeeling
- Book for the cheapest times: February, March, and September are the most budget-friendly months to visit Darjeeling, as hotel prices tend to be lower during this time. To truly appreciate the area's key historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This will provide ample opportunity to explore the stunning mountain scenery, hike through natural parks, visit magnificent temples, and witness breathtaking sunrises. Darjeeling also offers great value for money with excursions to local universities and opportunities for rock climbing amidst its vibrant flowers.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute hotel deals in Darjeeling, consider visiting the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on accommodations close to your travel date. You could also enable email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities for cheap Darjeeling hotel deals. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best deals and be alerted if prices drop or rooms become available for your spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay in a Darjeeling hotel. If you're after something a bit different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and often offer great value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, increasing your chances of securing a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying close to key attractions or city centres can be convenient, but it usually tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider looking for accommodation in less central areas or neighbourhoods, which can provide a good balance between price and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You might also explore independent hotels a bit further out, as they can offer a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
