A traditional Danish hotel, catering for the Danish market. Staff are superb - very friendly, cannot do too much to make you welcome, cope with late orders to the restaurant, always willing to help. Not cheap but excellent value for money. A bit quaint by UK standards but very clean and well presented. If you want to stay in Svendborg, stay here!

This property is as expected an old building. The bathrooms for each room are unsafe as the shower floods the entire bathroom. Very nice breakfast that had fresh fruit and lots of nice choices. We booked a queen bed room and were given the worst room in the place with a small double bed. Bed mattress is very old and very uncomfortable. When I inquired about what we booked vs the room assignment, I was told no room’s available. Despite the fact that paid for a bigger bed. I can not recommend this place. I honestly think the hotels give lesser rooms to folks that booked through a third party company.

Jeg mente at have bestilt et værelse med dobbeltseng men blev tildelt værelse med 2 single senge det påtalte jeg men uden held, sengen var ikke så god så jeg fik ikke sovet så meget, morgenmaden var super god og hotellet ligger godt nede ved havnen og i weekenden er der nogle gratis parkeringspladsser uden for hotellet, personalet var hjælpsomme

Skønt ophold med 3 overnatninger. Venligt personale, rent og god og velassorteret morgenmad. Vi boede på 1. sal i hotellets bygning over for og man bør vide, at der ikke er elevator. Svendborg er en skøn by, der har det hele.

Da vi ankom måtte vi vente 15 min før der overhovedet var nogen i receptionen, selvom vi ringede gentagne gange på klokken. Efter et kvarter dukkede receptionisten op, med en halv fadøl i hånden. Dagen efter skulle vi låne noget bestik i receptionen men opgav efter 10 min, fordi der ingen receptionist var. Der var klokken 19:30. Der er utrolig meget larm. Når folk går rundt ved siden af, eller ovenpå, kan man tydelig høre det. Også om natten. Jeg har støvallergi, og jeg var nødt til at tage piller mod det. Der så ikke beskidt ud, men der var virkelig meget støv i puder, gulvtæpper og sikkert under sengen. Hotellet ligger et skønt sted, tæt på vand og by og er dejlig uhøjtideligt.

Hyggeligt sted med en rar atmosfære. Venlig og hjælpsom betjening. Vi spiste en dejlig frokost i restauranten dagen efter inden vi tog videre.
