I never received deposit back. There was no ice machine. Very minimal items in room. No wash cloths. Only two pillows per bed and no heavy blankets to stay warm. Just thin sheets and top blanket as thick as sheets.

Check in went really smooth. Room was clean except the hand towel at the sink was covered in long black hair. Sheets had a bleach smell. The pillows were very lumpy like cottage cheese, they also smelled like bleach so I assume they wash them in the washing machine. That changes the shape and texture of the pillow. The bed was loud because they have a plastic cover on the mattress with two bottoms sheets that kept popping out on the corners. To small for the bed. Had to keep putting them back on. Bathroom was clean and the shower was good.

The room was clean and renovated, close to many big chain stores like Walmart, Ross, Marshall’s, Macy’s, JcPenny, HomeGoods and many more, Downey Inn is located in the heart of Downey, was there for 5 nights, I would stay there again. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.
