We ended up booking this hotel last minute to extend our stay in Montauk. While the hotel shows a lot of potential, there were several issues that impacted our experience.
The positives: The hotel is fully remodeled, so everything appears clean and new. The pool area is lovely, and both the towels and bed were comfortable.
Unfortunately, there were some major downsides: Underneath our room, a sump pump was vibrating and going off every 10–15 minutes until around midnight. The walls are paper-thin — we could clearly hear what seemed to be staff talking loudly until late, and the sound echoed through the walls and air conditioning unit, making it hard to sleep.
At checkout, when we mentioned the noise, the front desk attendant explained the hotel had only been open for two weeks and suggested we come back and try a different room next time. While I appreciate the honesty, that response didn’t exactly address our concerns in the moment.
The location is great, but with so many better options in Montauk, I’m not sure I’d choose to return until some of these issues are resolved.
