I had a wonderful experience at Motel Casa Penn! The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The bed was super comfortable, and the living area with a cozy sofa and TV made it feel like home. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of storage, and the bathroom had all the essentials. Plus, there's a second bedroom for extra space—perfect for groups or families. The location is fantastic, with shopping, restaurants in hustling and bustling Ironbound area of Newark. Also, Newark Penn Station is just 10 minutes away for easy transportation to NYC and the Newark airport. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort and convenience in downtown Newark!

This place is not clean and very poorly maintained. Our travels were dirty. The listing gives an impression this property has a front desk and staff. This is not the case. The front door remains unlocked all night in a busy neighborhood, no staff. Other guests were loud and came home late.

So, my flight arrived at 10:40pm from Newark Liberty airport and I phoned hotel. Being so late, I understood how they may not have a shuttle, but they could have at least booked me a taxi for ready pickup when I got through and received my baggage. Upon arriving at property, they use RING to communicate with you. I pushed doorbell and was buzzed in arriving in a hallway. The person spoke to me, to which the audio was a bit hard to hear although I was exhausted. They told me what room I had. The room was very warm however, the air conditioner had tons of dust on it and I was afraid to turn it on. The room appeared in a clean condition. Next morning, don't expect any amenities (coffee, anything). For the price of $102, I considered it overpriced for not getting any conveniences. It was merely a place to sleep, although there was some noise from oncoming guests during night.

Unclean areas. Shared everything, not just the kitchen. No staff on site or help desk. Super unsafe. No outside looks for any door. I do not recommend this place at all, spend the extra 40 is dollars and go to the Robert Treat hotel.

Worst lodging of my life!

The very FIRST thing i had to do was go out to the store and buy gloves, disinfectant solution, disinfectant spray, cleaning sponges and soap. I literally had to clean the bathroom which was very dirty including the toilet bowl, mirror, faucet, face basin, tub and everything in there. Even the room had to be disinfected. Sorry but i must speak the truth about my stay. It was horrible. Not even a waste basket was avaliable. I WILL NEVER RETURN.
