The Naini Retreat, Nainital
"Our room was not with a view."
Hotel Himalaya
"We had a pleasant stay at Himalaya Hotel, Nainital. The deluxe room offered an amazing lake view, and the food was delicious. The staff was courteous, friendly, and always ready to help. A special thanks to Pankaj Joshi and Sunil Kumar for assisting us with our luggage during both pickup and drop. The dining staff was also well-behaved and suggested some great nearby places to visit. The only area for improvement would be the room cleanliness, as we noticed a few cobwebs. Overall, it was a good experience, and the excellent hospitality made our stay enjoyable."

"Great hotel and friendly staff."
Namah Nainital, a member of Radisson Individuals Retreats
"Property location is really nice with good views, food was good. Room needs bit of furnishing, as there were no wardrobes.. Slightly over priced compared to the amenities in the room. Hospitality was better when this hotel was called Manu Maharani, this time felt like corporate vibe with less personal touch.. More like money and profits.. Thanks"
MAATI Resort by The Lake Hill

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Nainital
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Nainital is during May, August, and September, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those looking to explore the area's key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural beauty, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as the stunning lake, the local zoo, historic temples, and the breathtaking mountain scenery. Activities like boating, horseback riding, and wandering through lush forests provide great value for money while experiencing the region's unique wildlife and hilly landscapes.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals for accommodation in Nainital, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. To maximise your chances of finding affordable hotels, consider activating email alerts or push notifications for updates on flash sales and exclusive promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you stay informed about any price drops or availability changes for your preferred hotels.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you potentially save on your stay in a Nainital hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and sometimes better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend more affordable dates that could help you secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Nainital's excellent public transport options, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
