Chanalai Garden Resort, Kata Beach
"We had a fantastic stay over a 10 day period, October 2026: Pros: Great pools and bars, breakfast amazing, location close to beach and 7 Eleven, rooms clean with interconnecting option, room service was quick, no undisclosed fees or nasty surprises when checking out, easy to get to Patong via a Grab. Cons: Noisy if you have a room near a pool bar, house keeping arrived very late most days (approx. 4pm), although it can' be helped there was a lot of maintenance work going on which meant noise and access issues, get constantly hassled by hotel workers at driveway to use their taxi's. Would I return.. Definitely"
Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa, Patong Beach
"The bartender from The pool was very RUDE. We asked him few times for few things and he thought that he was doing us a favor by making our drinks. Nice property but their staff needs some customers service training."

On our last full day, we had an early excursion planned, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we still experienced a floating breakfast. 4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Chalong
- Book for the cheapest times: For those looking to explore Chalong on a budget, the most affordable months to visit are May, September, and October, when hotel prices are lower. Staying for at least 6 to 7 days would provide ample time to discover the area's key landmarks and cultural attractions. During your visit, you can immerse yourself in the rich history by touring stunning temples, enjoying local festivals, and appreciating the unique architecture. Additionally, you might want to relax at a spa, visit the aquarium, or experience the thrill of ziplining. With a variety of options, Chalong offers great value for money for those keen on history and culture.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute hotel deals in Chalong, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on accommodations close to your travel date. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. This way, if prices drop or new rooms become available, you're more likely to be the first to know and secure the best hotel deal.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a Chalong hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised atmosphere and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend more affordable dates to increase the likelihood that you’ll save.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Chalong's fantastic public transport options, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there’s often great value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
