Lovely location, we would have liked longer there to relax and enjoy the surroundings but we were staying there as a focal point and it was the long weekend so very busy and noisy on our first night. Family and staff were accommodating and friendly and the room was clean and provided all the necessities. Would have enjoyed the garden if the weather had been warmer. Worth a visit.

It was in a lovely location, must be stunning in the summer. Breakfast was amazing! Allowed two dogs which was great. Only negative is our room was above the bar and Friday night was very noisy until the early hours, and no hairdryer in room.

Room is a little too small, the view was beautiful.
Food was really good and good portions.
We felt breakfast at 9am could have started a bit earlier.
Very clean,the little pots with tea and coffee in the room was nice.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely pub, 'earthy' creaky floors. To us, the character was great. And excellent value for money. Lovely location by the river to;

Very pretty location, room with river view. Staff friendly and helpful, lovely food. Room very compact, not much storage. Could have done with bedside cabinets. No curtain or blind in bathroom which i feel was essential as the glass was clear and there were other rooms overlooking us.

Very nice country side hotel very clean and tidy. Perhaps could do with modernising
My only complaint is the curtains are very thin letting the morning sunlight in way to early 4am , could do with black out curtains otherwise no problem

Delightful inn with lovely views across the river and surrounding countryside.
Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The room, although compact, had everything we needed with ample storage for a few days clothing, a comfortable bed and tea & coffee facilities.
The ensuite had a good, but not spacious, shower, however, the window was clear glass without a blind and it did feel like you were a little exposed when using the bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent with a good range of choices.
Optional lunch or dinner dining is also very good but it is advisable to book. The garden offers some lovely tables for dining riverside if the weather permits.

Stunning location next to the River Exe. Comfortable room overlooking the river and gardens. Very breakfast in terms of choice, quality and service. One or two issues with the room were raised with the management, but nothing that we expect to reoccur for future guests. We wish the operators every success in this venture.
