The setting is tranquil, with beautiful views, and the home itself is lovely. Our host was welcoming and gracious. The B&B is about two miles down gravel roads with fairly deep washboards, so guests should be prepared for a rough drive. We love staying at true bed and breakfasts, and for us, part of the charm is the experience of a thoughtfully prepared, homemade breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast we received was a bit disappointing—a scone, two strawberries, and five blueberries left us wanting more. In fairness, the fault is partly ours for not having more realistic expectations about what was included. The property and setting are beautiful, and the host was very welcoming, but the breakfast experience did not live up to what we typically expect from a bed and breakfast.

The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy with lots of pillows. The view was beautiful and the breakfast of croissants and fresh fruit so yummy! The only thing I struggled with was getting to the actual property. It was on a long gravel road but signs very clear on how to reach the property. You don’t have any neighbors or adjoining properties so this is quite peaceful 😊

What a wonderful getaway! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were tucked away in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by spectacular views and peaceful scenery. The property is a new build, so everything is fresh, modern, and in perfect condition. It was also incredibly clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The owners live on the property and were so kind and welcoming. One of our favorite parts of the trip was simply sitting on the porch, taking in the beautiful views and enjoying the quiet. This is exactly the kind of place you go when you need to step away from the busyness of everyday life and recharge. We've already added it to our list of favorite getaway spots and can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed at Darlingwood recently, and we absolutely loved it. This was our first time at a bed and breakfast, and we were blown away. Our room was beautiful and spacious, the views and scenery were gorgeous. It felt wonderful to have such a scenic spot to relax and unwind. The property surrounding Darlingwood is so beautiful, I wish we had spent more time walking around and exploring. Holly and Donovan were wonderful hosts. Holly’s scones were absolutely phenomenal! We also purchased a few jams as well to bring home to friends and family. We would love to stay at Darlingwood again. Thank you Holly and Donovan for being such wonderful hosts!
