Waterford Marina Hotel
"Just a bit old and needs new carpet, pillows flat, bed fairly hard. Restaurant had great food!! Dinner and breakfast delicious front desk helpful and friendly"
The Club House Hotel
"Staff was exceptional - very friendly and welcoming. Helpful in making suggestions for a more comfortable stay, recommendations on local sites, and ensuring we had everything we needed. Communication was proactive - loved the room we had. Breakfast meal was very well prepared and tasted wonderful. Parking was a little challenging to find (even with their proactive directions) but was very good once we got there."
Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel
"Well worth the stay for the $200 we paid for one night. Room was spacious and had a Queen, two Twins, and a bunk bed in a side alcove. I’m told it goes for far more, but we enjoyed the night. The pool and gym are good, but they required you to purchase a $5 swim cap if you don’t have one. We’ll be back if we can book a longer stay at a similar price. Enjoy. 3.5 stars out of 5!"
Fitzwilton Hotel
"Excellent stay. Staff were very nice and helpful. Food was lovely."
Treacy's Hotel Waterford Spa & Leisure Centre
"Everything was fine, I enjoyed my stay at Tracy's Waterford. Have stayed here before. My only complaint is I have mobility issues, my car was parked in the carpark. There were 3 vans parked outside the Hotel, 1 man obligated me by moving his van make space for my car. I booked out of the hotel, I went to the carpark with 1 bag. my suitcase was in storage, when I returned with my car. A 4th van parked in the last space. So I had to leave my car out on the road with the Hazard lights on, disrupting the cars in the 1st lane, so they had to go around my car to move up to the traffic lights at the bridge. There are no other alternative choice for anyone in such circumstances, I mentioned this to the receptionist when I came back to collect my suitcase. Those men were plumbers and electricians and other tradesmen working at the hotel using the available space outside the hotel for customers. While at the same time saving on parking fees . As management you need to look at this issue from a business sense point of view."
The Granville Hotel
"Despite being an older property this hotel has kept the best of the past and integrated it with currently accepted standards. The hotel and staff couldn't be better. The room was comfortable and had a lovely table next to the window seating area for two with a large table next to the window. Walking to your room every staff member greeted you with a welcome and a smile. The location was great and for our first visit to Waterford itvset the stage."
Travelodge Waterford
"All good"
Viking Hotel Waterford
"The location on the outskirts of Waterford is ideal for outings to e.g. the Copper Coast drive or to Mount Congreve Gardens. The hotel is clean, modern and very stylish. My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. My evening meals in the restaurant were very good. My only critical observation would be that perhaps the waiters could be a little more courteous. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Waterford."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Waterford
- Book for the cheapest times: For those travelling on a budget, the most affordable time to visit Waterford is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices are generally lower. To make the most of your trip, it's recommended to stay for at least 2 to 3 days, allowing you ample time to explore the city's remarkable landmarks, rich history, and cultural offerings. During your visit, you can check out various museums, enjoy delightful dining options, shop for unique souvenirs, and take guided tours. Don't miss the chance to appreciate the friendly locals, visit historical monuments, and relax by the picturesque river—all of which contribute to a great value for money experience.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for accommodation in Waterford, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates close to your departure date. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you secure the best rates. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a useful comparison tool available via the app that allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities. If prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to know, increasing your chances of finding cheap accommodation.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay in a Waterford hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend alternative dates that could be more affordable, increasing your chances of securing a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but with Waterford's fantastic public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that’s still well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded suburbs or even lesser-known nearby towns, there’s often excellent value for money to be had. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
