Nice hotel but beware of $25 daily desitnation fee
The stay was good but I was suprised to see a $25 daily desitnation fee that racked up on my checkout bill. If it was going to be a daliy fee reguadless it would of been nice to have a heads up about it instead of it being hidden till the end. With so many great hotels in NYC my next stay wont be with a marriott hotel.

Just not worth it.
Incredibly overpriced. While the fixtures and the bed are fine, they're just not good enough to make up for a very small room and an even smaller bathroom with less than ideal water pressure in the shower. The in room coffee maker made barely half a cup of lukewarm coffee. There was a coffee urn in the lobby which also supplied lukewarm, barely drinkable coffee. And to top it off, they charge a resort fee (they call it something else) on top of the room fee, something more and more NYC hotels are doing....and it's outrageous. I've stayed in many less expensive hotels in midtown that offer way more in comfort and amenities than the Hyatt Union Sq. Hyatt obviously views it's location as trendy and, therefore, worthy of its outlandish rates. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
