    Ancient Shipbrokers - lovely break

Mel & Wendy are great hosts - so welcoming and friendly. This B&B is spotless - nice comfortable room/ensuite with a scrumy Cornish breakfast. Good location in Pentewan to explore with Mevigessey Charlestown close and Newquay/Falmouth less than an hour away. The village pub did great food/good selection of beers/cider and had music quiz / bingo (£270 prize) singer etc - wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ancient Shipbrokers

A super stay in a rare location. I have never seen such yellow free- range eggs at breakfast or such a wide and magnificent view of unspoilt Cornish coast. The cooked breakfast was delicious which I followed up with yoghurt and Cornish honey. Lovely warm room with comfortable bed. Excellent hosting with good ideas for local attractions, gardens and places to eat. Will come back for a short break again soon. Very relaxing!

Great location but hotel is dated

Mel was a great host. The view from the rooms is superb. However the guest house is a bit dated and the decor is a bit "quaint". The road to the hotel is too steep for most cars and we had to park 50 metres away. The double bed was not very comfortable and the foot of the bed stead prevented me stretching out. Not good. The shower was not brilliant and the sink in the en suite was unusable as it was badly located and it was too small to act as a serious utility. All in all we enjoyed our stay but we didn't sleep very well at all and I couldn't have a shave because of the sink.

    Lovely B&B with sea views

We stayed here for the second time and it was as good as we remembered. Lovely hearty breakfasts. Comfortable bed and lovely room. Nothing was too much trouble for the kind hosts.Would heartily recommend this B&B.

    Good b&b with sea views

The owners are friendly and helpful. Very nice room. Close to the sea but on a short (steep!) hill so the sea views are lovely. Excellent breakfast. Quiet location.
