Disappointing
We travelled all the way from Australia to stay at rixos Alamein and were left fairly disappointed. Firstly, although check in was at 2pm they did not have our room ready until 4pm. We had reserved a sea view room but the room they gave us was directly on the pool with children everywhere and no sea in sight. When we called reception about this they said they were sending someone down to show us a different room we could take. We waited an hour for someone to come, ran twice but no one came. Even more bizarrely, when we went to reception to ask to see this other room they seemed surprised to see us? We finally received the room we reserved 2.5 hours after we arrived. We didn't feel very warmly welcomed. Secondly, this is the first 5 star rated hotel we have stayed at that does not have in room wifi! There isn't even the option to pay for in room wifi. The beach is beautiful and the food is good but we would not stay there again. They seem to cater more to families than couples and locals rather than foreigners. My advice would be to save the time and effort it takes to get to rixos Alamein and go to the four seasons in sharm el sheikh instead.

The hotel is a bit overpriced. Rooms are nice, big and clean with nice views but not too fancy. The biggest problem was that doors and walls are not sound proof enough. We could hear TVs next door, people talking and kids crying in the corridor while we are in the room. Another drawback is that there is no wifi in the rooms. However, the stuff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The restaurant is a bit small compared to the hotel capacity though! Overall it was a nice stay.

Over all the trip was amazing, specially the staff at the main restaurant ( not the snack one ), even though the tables and the chairs are regularly not clean enough and full of staines but the beautiful beach and the exceptional food quality madeup for it. Also the hotel didnt have options for internet even ( except for the lobby and it was rather poor ). The hotel is rather expensive for an all inclusive, not sure where the catch is
