Clean and comfy.
Hotel was very clean and staff interactions were very pleasant. The room we were in, everything was functional and worked as it should. Only knock would be breakfast offerings were the same Sat morning and Sun morning. A little variety would be great.

Fine, but nothing spectacular
Our room was clean and serviceable, but it was dark and dreary--everything was brown. We arrived exhausted after a long day of hiking and it was a bit depressing to spend an hour before bedtime watching TV in such a dismal room.

Very clean with a wonderful staff. Nice to have a small freezer area with the small refrigerator. Good breakfast. Easy commute to Pictured Rocks.

Dank and Dingy.
We honestly have zero understanding of how this roadside MOTEL achieved 8.8 rating on Hotels.com. Generally speaking, we can trust and rely on the ratings. This MOTEL, however, has somehow self-inflated their reviews. For any potential patron, and as a comparison, we typically stay at Holiday Inn, Best Western, Hampton, La Quinta, etc. This motel had the odor, vibe and general presentation of a truck stop motel with expected extracurricular activities. Definitely not for families and certainly not for anyone expecting a clean stay. We checked in, saw the hallway and room, immediately left and booked a different hotel. We hope this helps you.

Nice Stay
Spent one night here with the grandkids in a room with two queen beds. The room was pretty ordinary, but clean and comfortable. The staff here is excellent. Would happily book again.

What a great hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in a suite that had a separate bedroom. The room was roomy. The bed was comfortable and had clean white linens. It is an older hotel but they have done cosmetic updates and everything is clean and welcoming. The staff were great. For breakfast they served biscuits with sausage gravy, eggs, sausage patties, waffles, yogurts, basic fruits, bagels, and pastries. Over all a great facility.
