The best part of the staff was the housekeeper (shame on me for not getting her name), who was great about getting us into our room when we arrived early, and who checked in on us during our stay and who was just a wonderful human. The place has a virtual front desk, so there's no one on duty at the property, so she was a lifeline. No dining/bar facilities - it's kind of like a B&B where the owners are nowhere to be found.
That said, the old house exudes charm and our room was very comfortable and for some inexplicable reason, it had a table that was set for two - kinda strange. But it came in handy our first night, which was cold and blustery and when my wife didn't want to go out again, I picked up pizza, salad and wine (glasses available in the basement "kitchen") and we had a comfy place to eat and enjoy each other's company.
All in all, a fun stay and the price was right.
