Checkin was fine but when I was told that I could wait outside in line to go to the rooftop bar and then was turned away because No one invited me that was insulting and disappointing. Then I had to listen to the loud music echo in my room for hours. I would not return to this hotel - at least not without an invitation.

Great service turned my day around!
I wish I remembered the amazing person who checked me in. We had such a nice friendly chat during my check in and she finished it with, "I've upgraded your room" She didn't know that I was actually having a very stressful day and her smile and upgrade completely turned my day around! The service, the room and the view was nothing short of perfect!

2 nights @ the Standard
I stayed 2 nights visiting a friend. My room had the layout of a carnival cruise cabin. Not sure how clean the shower was due to the black tile. Bed very low to the ground. I had requested Fiji water upon my arrival with ice. The requests were not honored nor was a response given through my booking at Hotels.com Highlights. Great view from 15th floor, especially at sunset.

Cool hotel with a nice vibe, friendly staff!
Floor to ceiling windows with great river and city views. Fun decor, even a copy of Orwell's 1984 in the room! Located atop the High Line in the meat-packing district, just south of SoHo. Loved the rooftop bar. Great restaurants in the neighborhood.

fashionable, stylish, and comfortable
a great environment and very pleasant hotel. a highly designed and fashionable environment. but comfortable nevertheless. one odd detail is glass-walled showers. better be comfortable showering in front of whoever shares your room. ice-skating rink out front is a lovely touch.

Overrated and not worthwhile
Had the upgraded corner room with a king bed. Poor and slow service. Room was overrated and inconvenient for more than 1 person. Had to wait forever to get checked in, had poor amenities that were complimentary, given the nightly rate. Not worthwhile and disappointing overall.

Relaxing Birthday
This was for my mom and she absolutely loved the hotel. She was pleasantly surprise with her birthday Champagne and the view was relaxing. The only problem was that the TV kept freezing.
