At first, I thought the hotel was a little sketchy. It has a very small elevator, which you have to take up one floor to reach the reception desk. The "Reception" is just a small office that seems pretty outdated. But the place really grew on me after a couple days. The room was very nice, the beds very comfortable, and it was very quiet despite being in a busy part of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Best of all, the location is outstanding, a block from a tram and subway stop and easy walking distance to the museums, St. Stephens Cathedral, and other sights in the old town.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you are looking for quick and easy access to all the sights in the historic part of city. The room was spacious and had a separate kitchen which was helpful. This is an older hotel and building, and the entryway and corridors to the rooms have a municipal feel to them (until you walk through the interior doors to the small hallways leading to the actual rooms). However, the room was large and clean, well-furnished, and the beds very comfortable. The staff could not have been more friendly. The location simply cannot be beaten. Directly within Vienna's Old City, exactly where tourists like we were would want to be. Nice, locking room for luggage storage if needed also. I would absolutely stay at Pension Suzanne again (and hope to: loved Vienna).

This is a small, residential-feeling place in the absolute heart of historic Vienna. Service with a smile and working AC! The building is "historic" so outlets are limited, and the rooms are NOT large, but the place is elevated by small thoughtful touches and a very helpful front desk that made it feel almost like a homestay. Great value overall!
