We booked a superior room which was excellent and had views of the lake. We were a ljttle apprehensive when booking after reading some reviews but we absolutely did nit need to worry. Excellent hotel and really good value for money. Tip pay the extra £10 per couple for breakfast as is very good for the money. We would definitely stay again. Well done.

Had a lovely stay here, staff were polite, room was clean and bed was comfy. The location was great. We stayed for 3 nights but the room was not cleaned once. It was not a problem for us as we kept it clean but other people might not feel the same.

Easy check in - Friendly staff -Superior room was large with view over the lake and came with table and 2 chairs as well as the usual dressing table ,wardrobe etc. Room servicing - cleaning etc was by request only but did not find this a problem Overall a pleasant experience

Great check in, parked outside the door. I appreciate that some rooms are specifically for stays with a dog but cleanliness wasn’t great, stains on carpet, hairs in shower. There was a noise that we could hear all night, a wooing noise from a fan which got quite annoying. I raised the issue on departure, staff not at all apologetic. It was an alright relatively cheap place to sleep with the dog in a good location but that’s about it.

A lovely one night stay at The Windermere Hotel. Really nice staff and a lovely bed to rest your head after a day out in Bowness for drinks and a meal. Very decent breakfast too. Hotel might need a little ‘love’ but I’d definitely stay there again
