Air conditioning was not working so that was not planned it was humid, the room was good space and they kept the hotel clean, the location is right in Times Square as advertised. Their “breakfast” is a drink and pastry grab and go, I wouldn’t pay for that but to each their own The staff was great with me I stayed 10days for a work trip

This hotel is being modernized/refreshed as a Crowne Plaza. However, the hallways and rooms are many years overdue to be refreshed. Furniture is pretty skinned up, carpet it worn, bathtub has scratches, etc. The location is great and the price isn't bad considering what the same rooms would cost of they were up to current standards.

love the location walking distance to broadway theaters, time square and Rockefeller center/5th ave, the staff were helpful and breakfast were descent. Rooms need update, I think they are currently slowly renovating rooms cause I hear construction noise? you can also hear noise from the streets /traffic etc so earplugs are very helpful. Just wanted to point regarding the parking , hotel info state self parking available on site but it's actually not self parking , the attendant park your car for you , which kinda bothered me because I hate leaving my car/car keys to strangers.

We really didn’t have many problems at the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel. We were on a budget so we knew we wouldn’t get a Marquis type room. The staff was wonderful. The lady at check-in tried to find a room for us that was renovated. They are going through renovations to become a Crown Plaza, so all rooms are not yet done. We were on the 8th floor. Our major issue was that several outlets in our room did not work. The major one was in the bathroom. The reset buttons were broken and neither worked. Yes - the furniture was a bit old, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. If you want an up to date, modern room, book a premium and pay $200+ more per night. Because of the renovations, only 2 of 4 elevators worked, so at times there were quite a few people waiting.

The Manhattan was in a great location and cost a lot less than neighbor hotels. The front desk staff was very nice. The rooms were so outdated. The carpets were full of permanent stains and the bathroom walls were literally lumpy under the old paint. We were in the room for a late morning appointment, and had plans to depart at 10:45 a.m. Even though check out was noon, the cleaning staff banged on our door 3 different times to ask us when we were leaving, between 9:00 when we returned from breakfast and when we left. I told them 10:45 all 3 times and they were visibly upset. Finally, 2-3 elevators were not working. We waited 5-10 minutes for the down elevators, then they would arrive at our full, so we had to start the process again. I hate posting negative reviews. But we really did not enjoy our stay.

Location was awesome. Super close to everything. Bed was very old and worn. No support and felt like it was gonna break. No little fridge. No way to have a cold drink or save leftovers. No table to sit at to eat with your person. Cable tv. But a lot of channels didn’t work. Loud. You can hear every door. All the voices. Everyone was very nice and helpful but I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff was wonderful!; the hotel is in a prime location right in the middle of Times Square, so you couldn't ask for more. Our double room was a good size, with comfortable bed, but the room walls are thin, and if you have a noisy neighbor, as we did, it's a bit of a nuisance. I understand it's an old building, but there are minor things that can be done to make sure the property doesn't look run-down, for instance, the bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling and mold stains on the bathtub walls, and that could have been fixed easily. Breakfast consists of a kiosk with limited options, where you order through a window. Still, I would stay at the Manhattan again, only not include the breakfast package.
