Our nightmare at Villa Uroa Barabara
We stayed at this property from December 22/17 until January 4/18. Our confirmation from Expedia stated we had three bedrooms. However upon arrival we were restricted to one bedroom as the other two bedrooms were potentially booked. Our first two evenings were spent trying to convince the property's representative that we do not pay them directly.and that Expedia would pay them. They didn't quite understand that. There are several discrepancies with the information on the booking site. It reads as if there are three villas. There is only one house on the edge of the village of Uroa. There is no terrace or patio. There is only an over run vegetable garden. The kitchen is a disaster. When we arrived there were only 5 table forks, one table knife, 3 juice glasses, one cereal bowl etc. If you wanted to use the kettle you had to unplug the refrigerator. There are no cupboards in the kitchen so that pots and pans were on the dirt/cement floor under the counter. A bed with box spring only, a coat rack and a bar fridge are the only items in the bedrooms. No place to hang or put away your clothes.
The electricity is pay as you go and we were without power for over 12 hours because they didn't add money to the meter. We ran out of water. These two items should have been looked after before we arrived. No wifi.
If you wanted to sit outside you had to bring a chair from the dining area and put it outside the front door.
I will leave the rest up to the pictures..
