Great place to stay, if you don’t mind it being a bit worn down which is the beauty of staying in a traditional ryokan with onsen. Night staff speaks fluent English, quite the opposite for the Day staff however. Has a fireplace in the lobby with free mashmallow offered. There is a ping pong table, and a pool table free for guests. Though I found their placement being right at the entry area of the Ryokan a bit awkward.
The hotel is overall clean and tidy, the check-in service is reasonably smooth except they do not open the reception for check-in until 3:00 pm even I arrived at 1:30 pm, I had to go to somewhere else to spent that 1 1/2 hours.
The Japanese style breakfast is acceptable.
The public hot bath is good.
