The service group is excellent. Everyone is friendly. The room is too small for me for the price. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area and a small grocery store, which is really convenient for a traveler who wishes to eat and drink in home.

It is hard to find; the location is not clear at all. But if you find the place, it's really nice! Recommended with breakfast. People do not speak English, but they do their best.

Very happy with the stay. Room was as described and basic essentials supplies were provided. Room probably need some Repair such as the floor and ceiling but overall it's good. While it's located 15 mins walk from Metro station, but if you have share bike app it won't be an issue.

A quiet spot in the midst of a busy part of Beijing. Good location with easy and short walking distance to many different types of food/eating places. Decent onsite breakfast choices and good coffee. Overall it exceeded my expectations—although I didn’t know what to expect going in.

I like that the location was ideal as it relates to areas of interest. My disappointment was the room size for the given price.

Nice hotel
The hotel can be located easily and there are many eateries nearby. Hotel staff are friendly and Sara Li is extremely helpful but helping me to book a cab to the airport. She even called the taxi driver to ensure that I was picked up correctly. Really appreciate her help. Breakfast is simple by good enough for me

Chic hotel with modern touch
It's a very popular hotel with social media fan fare, so I booked it to give it a try. It's located in a residential community, a bit difficult to find, but once inside, one can easily feel the modern designs and thoughtful touches in the hotel. There are only three double bed rooms in the entire hotel, so good luck if you are looking for one. The TV service could improve a lot. Other than that, the room was very nice.

Comfortable stay albeit further from the subway
I enjoyed my stay at the Cendre. I personally like the area, which is vibrant and pleasant to walk around, but that's because i'm familiar with Beijing. For first time tourists, this property is a bit far from the subway. I liked the breakfast (for a non-5* Chinese hotel; whereas the equivalent would usually serve greasy Chinese only), and rooms were spacious. No service issues either. Unfortunately Internet was slow and sometimes unusable, and whilst the rooms are still clean and in good condition (and i'm fussy), you could see the early remnants of required attention to detail - such as to calcium buildup in shower heads, and edges of the showers (still OK, but need to think about a deep clean soon before it deteriorates).

2/10 Poor

A. Bad 1. Refund Issue - I reserved five nights through Expedia, and changed my schedule while staying there. I stayed there for 3 nights. Cendre told me that it could not refund at all because of Expedia, but Expedia emailed me that Cendre denied to waive based on Cendre's policy. So, I showed the email from Expedia to the employee of Cendre, but the employee denied what Expedia said. On my reservation page, I could see that Expedia will not charge change fee and Cendre's no-show or change fee would be the first night rate and taxes, but Expedia or Cendre charged two nights from me. I still don't know who charges those two nights fee. 2. Language - They speak English, but it was not enough to solve any problems. Since the other hotels in China also have the same problems, that's generally acceptable. However, when I had the issue regarding the change fee, I asked Expedia to call the hotel. Because Expedia said that as far as the hotel allows to change my schedule, there would be no problem. However, after that call, I witnessed one employee got a phone call and said "Expedia? Hm.. Expedia." (so, I assumed that the phone call might be Expedia) and then around 5~10 second later he just hung up the phone, and I got email from Expedia that they had communication problems with the hotel. 3. Internet Speed: Extremely Slow - I've checked the Internet speed of the hotel. In the morning and at night, it recorded between 0.01 Mbps and 0.05 Mbps, sometimes even failed to measure.

Great value quiet hotel with amazing deluxe rooms
Very nice quiet hotel set back off the main street. I was in the deluxe room which was really big and felt like a suite with a dining table, seating area, a walk in robe, big bathroom with separate bath and shower and a balcony. I would definitely stay here again.
