Nice stay
Our overall experience here was positive. The room was large and comfortable except it was stuffy. There is no a/c and only only small window that opens. We were here during winter so it was not too bad. The WiFi is not good as many have included in their reviews, so if you need reliable WiFi that may be an issue. The location was excellent for us and the front desk staff were very nice.

Overall, a positive experience
This is a nicely maintained little hotel. The staff was great, without exception, and the free breakfast was much better than the typical fare. The covered parking is excellent. We found the wireless service in our room was very spotty and generally not working well enough to read the news of the day. While the hotel is air conditioned, our room was not. A window was left open in the bathroom and provided fresh air, but with no bug screen on the window I woke in the middle of the night with many mosquito bites. Our room was VERY small. Too small to be comfortable for two large expats visiting the City, though the very reasonable cost and the friendly, helpful staff made for an overall positive experience.

Highly recommended hotel!
Definitely staying here again! The hotel is really nice and clean, you can see it in the lobby and the rooms. They have an excellent service, specially the two waiters that are in the morning. The food is amazing! The cleaning ladies do a very well job too! Great location near metrobus and metro station.

The place was under construction so there was noisy and materials laying around. Also the beds are extremely hard.

Good 6.0
The fact that the hotel was under renovation didn't help, on arrival it's a pretty negative experience with a tiny reception and huge open work area. Breakfast was really poor considering what you could expect for the price anywhere outside. Comfortable rooms, decent hot shower.

Great hotel , great price , very conveniently loca
Super clean hotel and spotless room. Amazing bed Very comfortable . The bathroom it’s amazing , great water pressure ... soft large towels . You can connect your phone via Bluetooth to the room speakers and play your own music 👍... safe in the room and great decor. Hotel it’s beeen remodel .. so the lobby it’s under construction .. almost done. I will definitely stay here again. Walking to alameda takes about 7-10 min

Great value!
Hotel Fornos is an amazing value. I really appreciated the bathroom/shower, which was clearly recently renovated and had great hot water/water pressure. While the neighborhood is not amazing, I didn't feel unsafe walking around (caveat, I'm an experienced traveler and not physically small). If you don't mind that's its not the nicest neighborhood, the location is actually great! It's located perfectly between Roma Norte, which became my favorite place to eat and walk around, and the historic center of the city, which is full of must see museums and sights. I spent the last few days at a much more expensive, "nicer" hotel, and found that that in multiple ways, it did not stack up to Hotel Fornos. I would definitely stay again!

I have to say that for the price this hotel was amazing, the bed was not that great it was a little to hard for me, but overall I was very Happy with the room and the service, the staff really help us get around to where we wanted to go, thank you will definitely stay here again.

Excellent value - I'll be back
This is a hidden gem. It is a great value choice for staying in Mexico City. Start with a large, covered parking area if you are driving. Enter the atrium lobby and notice that they have their own little restaurant on site. A gust computer is available. The units are roomy, comfortable and clean. You may have a view of a light shaft, however, and it may have construction noise during daylight hours. Despite this, it is a wonderful choice for what the price is. As for the area, it is a mixed business and residential area, with only a 5 minute walk to the Metro or a 15 minute walk to Parque Aurora and Bellas Artes. There are a number of restaurants in the area. A local laundry service is about a 5 minute walk away. This is a wonderful budget surprise...but don't tell everyone...LOL

Excellent downtown option
Hotel Fornos is centrally located for activities near the central district. The property features private parking with guest parking access. My room featured a hot tub, king size bed, flat screen TV, and locking safe. The flush toilet was very close to the shower in the restroom and some water from showering would get into the toilet. Not hard to fix with a towel! Overall a very good value for a location worth good access to food and downtown activities. Neighborhood at night is not as bad as it appears!
