Unfortunately, our Room no. 4 was very noisy due to the Wind (Windows not thight, roof tiles ratteling). Toilet door could only hardly be locked. Neighbouring rooms could have been listened.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The location is great with many restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend a tour to Staffa Island. It was incredible. I would skip the continental breakfast. Overall a great place in Oban.

Distance from train station/ferry terminal was walkable. Basic accommodation, foreign housekeeper was lovely, check-in employee was not friendly.

Booking was not clear to indicate that parking although “available” did not mean on-site or free. Had to pay for meter and park either up the street or on the street. Had to switch rooms to have toilet & bath in room instead of shared. Also not clear in the booking site.

Pay for parking, but everything is in walking distance. Shower is the least favorable, warm water only, but great for the price.

Never Again
cleanliness not good, window sills, skirtings not cleaned in some time, carpeting dirty looking not been washed in some time either, window frames and net curtains mouldy, make do hardboard wall panel on wall not even painted, no towels in room unable to wash, due to shared toilet on our level with other room, unable to use as other guest vomiting all over floors and in corridor outside our room, trapped in our room all night, shower batroom was on the first floor were other guest shared but when trying that room always someone in. nobody on site just a phone number to contact, nobody answered left message, nobody rang back had to ring them back when they on duty 3-5pm complained about towels and bed, as old cheap metal framed bed, creaking and rikerty when you moved on it, asked to change rooms told they full on no other room left, not a welcoming land lady at all AVOID ROOM 8 AT ALL COST!!!!

Difficult to review. The photographs don't do it justice. It looks quite acceptable in the pictures but in reality it is very tired and tatty. In our room one bedside table was a piece of wood balanced on several bricks. A cupboard contained some old tiles and a broken door lock. One bedside lamp couldn't be plugged in because the socket was on the other side of the bed which was hard against the wall. Surfaces were quite worn. It was clean although a pile of used towels lying on the shared bathroom floor wasn't pleasant. Overall it needs stripping out with new furniture, a new carpet, and a coat of paint.

Im not a fan of shared bathrooms and keys that are tricky to maneuver but i take into account the age of the building and the character of the town.

Shower is inside the room. Toilet shared on the floor. Not value for money as I felt overcharged for the quality of the hotel. Breakfast is basic, non-attended

Don't stay disappointing!
I would like to express my disappointment with my stay, the room No5 on the 3rd floor was very dated, tiny, dirty, tv did not function, only the bottom inch of the radiator got warm, bedside tables were fit for the bin, a plug socket on skirting was loose, the shower was full of moldy grime and I make no claims to be a safety or fire expert however the label on the fire extinguishers on the landings state they were last inspected 16/14! On the plus side the sheets were clean.

Little town
The stay was OK. The room is fine. The beds are a little too soft and the bathroom door was unable to close due to some issues with the floor, this was rather unpleasant... If they fix this, I recommend to stay here.

Checked into our ground floor room and it smelled very strongly of mold. They moved us down the street to another lodging. The second room was adequate but bed pillows and comforter smelled. Great location. Need to fix mold issue with Arbor. Overall they were gracious about changing our room.
