Our room was a masterclass in planning: clean, comfortable, beautifully laid out, with stunning, never-tiring views of Kathmandu. Thoughtful touches—excellent lighting, practical storage, and a truly comfortable bed—made it feel like home. Dining is a highlight. Multiple on-site options deliver consistently high quality and warm service—from relaxed breakfasts to refined dinners. Rooftop spaces steal the show: a serene pool with panoramic views, a stylish sunset bar, and a well-equipped gym that actually motivates a workout. Fast, reliable internet throughout made staying connected effortless. We were there during the Gen Z protests, and this is where Mercure Kathmandu truly shone. Staff were calm, composed, and extraordinarily professional. Thoughtful safety measures—discreet yet effective—kept us reassured without ever feeling confined. They acknowledged what was happening outside while maintaining a comfortable, normal atmosphere. Communication was clear, empathy genuine, and care above expectations. While we’d love to name individuals, every team member was exceptional—from front desk and housekeeping to dining, security, and management. The seamless coordination, especially under pressure, was remarkable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mercure Kathmandu."

"So this was my Second time staying at The Hotel Barahi Pokhara and they certainly outdid themselves! From the moment we arrived everyone and everything was 5 STAR! First of all you get a formal greeting from the staff. Everyone helps you with the luggage. You get a refreshing welcome drink which is fantastic since we had been in a Van for 7 hours. Our room was Amazing! Very spacious ( we booked a suite) It was filled with amenities that were all complimentary!The Bed was Super comfortable and the room was very clean. The Food at the Hotel Barahi is Second to None! There isn’t anything they can’t make. They really pay attention to every Guest and try to accommodate all of their needs and wants. I saw many staff members that I met during my first visit and everyone remembered me and came to greet me and chat with me.Durga and Laxmi are two Outstanding staff members who remembered me and went out of their way to make my second visit even better than the first! I Thank You Both 🙏 One last thing I Have to mention because it’s so impressive and rarely seen. The Hotel Barahi Staff treat each other with a level of Dignity and Respect I have never witnessed before. Everyone greets each other with a smile and a handshake. They speak to one another with respect no matter what position they hold. Everyone seems Genuinely happy to be there as part of the Barahi Family. "It’s an ideal place to stay in Kathmandu. Right in the middle of Thamel, so you’re right by the restaurants, bars and attractions but it’s off the street so is delightfully peaceful and quiet. All the staff were polite and efficient, breakfast was great- I got an excellent freshly made omelette snd coffee. The gentlemen who make them were both fantastic and deserve extra praise. Someone kindly carried my bag for me and they hired a comfortable and clean cab for me. "
