"Beautiful hotel up the mountains. Hotel is rustic although the room we had was beautiful (luxury) and had a new bath outside on the balcony which was lovely. Dinner was awesome if you like fish. Views are immense. "
"Hotel is gorgeous and such a great experience. The Onsen is great, not too crowded. In room onsen/outdoor bath was a fantastic addition and really made it feel exclusive. Expensive, but the included meals are a whole experience in themselves and worth the extra cost. A great way to experience the area. Check out the outdoor sculpture park nearby."
"Awesome property for an onsen experience. Love the public onsen requirement of bathing clothes. Hotel was spotless and staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing with good variety with a barista making you anything you want was a huge bonus. Location is a bit further away from train station but the free private transfer to the hotel is such a huge benefit. Absolutely will stay again. "
"Older hotel - could use updates (like repainting exterior). The staff was amazing, breakfast was wonderful, and the baths have incredible views! Could use more dinning options."
"The place felt like a dream! From the outfit you wear throughout your stay to the hot springs outside that made you feel free. The staff was incredibly friendly and I’d recommend it for anyone."
"Loved this as our choice of Ryokan. The property and public baths were beautiful and well maintained, with a very relaxed feel. Our room was large and overall comfortable; just keep in mind the bed is not traditional western. We had a private bath in our room as well and the water was just as hot as the ones from the public bath.
The food and service were exceptional. They offer a shuttle pick up service from the train station that came in handy as it was raining.
Highly recommend"
