"Where to start, these guys cancelled our entire booking because we were late for check in leaving us stuck in a monsoon with our 3 month old infant. When we finally got into the property the next day, a solid hardwood curtain rod fell on my partners head who was holding our kid. Very luckily only she was hurt. The restaurant was basically not working. The bar was shut. I get that its the off season but say this in your booking profile. When we decided to leave after 1 night to head to Unawatuna...

here in a panoramic ocean view room which definitely lived up to its name with spectacular views free rom large windows and a balcony. The restaurant and rooftop bar/ lounge are super friendly and the live music on one night was amazing! The infinity rooftop pool was refreshing and again... those views is Hotel has an elevator which is an added bonus too and there is a free shuttle to Jungle Beach!"

"Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves...

" it was surprise to me when I reached the hotel and had to leave it since it is nothing like the mis leading deceiving pictures where the hotel was extremely dirty, deserted, the bed with pee stains, hygiene zero and 3 guys managing it who has zero hygiene and didn’t look like they are running the place which was quite creepy. Don’t be fooled by review and pictures. I had to leave and didn’t get refund so do hotels.com didn’t refund me when I reported the issue in the same moment. I had to lose...

"Like a sprawling colonial home. So many places to relax and take in the unique ambience. Loved the pool with lounge chairs in it."

"First of all, great facility, kind staff and good service! Don’t necessary feel that it was value for the money unfortunately (after comparing with the other stays around Sri Lanka). A few bullet points for improvement: should be able to order breakfast and lunch on the spot and not need to book the day before, cleanliness around the pool area during the day, should have more than one dining table. Overall ok! "
