Superb Stay

The breakfast choice was excellent, from full English to lighter cereal and yogurt options. Our room was bright, clean and well appointed. The new lounge area of the junior suite is very nicely laid out and a lovely space to enjoy an hour or so with a book and glass of wine!

Powys guest house....fab stay

Guest house owner extremely welcoming and friendly, room very comfortable, clean, en suite bathroom very clean, would definitely book this guest house again;! Breakfast was fab with great choices for adults & kids. Well worth a stay! Thank you to Tina for her amazing hospitality.

We had a fabulous stay here. The property is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room was a good size with a nice, spacious bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and quality. Tina was the icing on the cake, a great host, friendly, warm and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend a stay at Powys Lodge and we hope to return before long.

Lovely weekend in sunny Scarborough

Lovely welcome from Tina who was very helpful throughout. Room was small but beautifully formed. Breakfast fantastic. Under fifteen minutes walk into town or onto the beach; lovely gardens to visit nearby. My first visit to Scarborough and I will be back; back to Powys Lodge too.

A fantastic B&B in a good location

Our stay at the Powys Lodge was excellent. Tina, the host was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfasts are wonderful and the rooms are nice. The only thing to note is if there are any senior members in the group it might be worth requesting a room on the first floor as the second floor involves a few flights of stairs. Good quiet and safe location close to the centre. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely 3 night stay, will be returning in future.

In Scarborough for the cricket so stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our twin room had an en suite and the room was well provisioned with drink making equipment and supplies. The breakfasts were great and our host Tina was very attentive to all our needs. The hotel is a ten minute walk from town and five minutes from the south bay heights from where you can walk down through the greenery to the beach or town. We visit Scarborough at least once a year and this will be our first choice going forwards

The atmosphere felt like home. Tina was warm, welcoming to everyone and ensured our stay was comfortable. The room was a bit small, and on the top level (all stairs), but it was comfortable and clean. The beds were very cosy. Closing the window shut out the noisy seagulls. The appliances worked as expected. We had to figure out how to turn on the shower. A small fridge and a microwave oven would have been perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place to stay

Great place to stay, well maintained, fantastic breakfast with a warm welcoming friendly environment. Just a short walk to the beach and town centre. Really enjoyed our stay and we couldn't ask for a more. Highly recommend to stay here.

We stayed here to go to a concert, we were able to walk to the north side of Scarborough, however it was a good 30 minutes for us, so maybe a car or taxi ride for anyone who cannot walk too far. The hotel was small but our room was fine for us, the bathroom was quite small and would be a challenge for the larger person, or someone tall. Our check in and out was fine and breakfast was lovely, cooked to order by the filling in of a slip the night before. The room was nice and clean, TV a decent size and a tea and coffee tray on the dressing table, all good. I would recommend and be happy to stay again.

Excellent B&B

Excellent stay , The whole B&B was amazingly decorated throughout, spotless in all areas , room was of a good standard and great for my solo stay , felt safe and welcomed. Lounge area had large tv ( also smaller 1 in rooms ) with tea and coffee . Dining room had a luxurious feel to it , breakfast was amazing , hot and cooked fresh , nothing was any trouble for Tina . Had my own front door key so could come and go when wanted to . Just 5 mins walk from south bay , with great views out to sea , plus 15 mins walk into town centre . This was great little find and a bargain price with a 4 star rating , would definitely return and recommend to family and friends . The was no negatives to my stay .
