Hotel was fine for a few nights. I was expecting it to be better based on the reviews. The rooms were big and the clean there were just a few things that I feel could have been better. The curtains in my room didn’t cover the whole window. The room was facing into the back of the hotel and there seemed to be construction going on and huge bright lights were on all night so made my room quite light. I also found the hotel to be quite loud both from other guests and also outside noise, even with the windows closed. There were no instructions on how to use the safe and if you try 3 times it locks it (which I wasn’t aware of) so I went to ask reception if someone could unlock it for me but no one ever came. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Location was good for the Xmas markets. Wouldn’t stay again? Probably not, I think I could get a better hotel for the same price.

Comfortable and Accessible w/ a Great Location
We had a long layover in Frankfurt and chose Schopenhauer b/c of its location, easy access to and from the airport, and affordability. The view from our room was so beautiful that we wished for a flight delay/cancellation so we could stay longer. Our room was clean and spacious. The location couldn't be beat: right next to the river and a short walk to all of the main landmarks and attractions, including the Christmas market in Romerberg.

Excellent location! A very short walk to the Christmas Markets. Beautiful view of the Main River from our room. Short walk from the S/U Bahn. Room and bathroom were basic but a nice size, clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and helpful. A good value by European standards.

We rented a business double room which was quite spacious and clean. Breakfast looked good, although we didnt have it because of an early checkout. The only thing we didn’t like was the view overlooking bags of trash and seemingly some construction going on. Other than that it served our purposes well for a night before an early flight.

This is a great location for visiting the historic district and for walking along the river walk. Lots of restaurants and shopping around. Train station less than 10 minute walk and felt very safe! The AC isn’t on when you arrive but it cools down quickly. Great stay for an overnight layover in Frankfurt. They also gave us late check out!

Very spacious room with a great view. Excellent location for access to bars, restaurants and sight seeing. The only real complaint is it’s pretty noisy on weekends from traffic, sirens and late night partiers walking past. Also, the hotel bar is never open.

Probably for the money it was a good value and standard for Frankfurt. But, little things like no facial tissues, shampoo, or wash clothes and only buffet breakfast at €19 available lessened the rating. Also had to change rooms due to a leak of some kind in bathroom, and rooms had a worn look. However, towels were changed and beds were made daily, and staff tried to be helpful with several things. View of the river was lovely, and you could walk to eating places.
